Transfer your Booking
If you have a booking with one of the Original Cottages Family of Brands, that starts in the next 6 weeks, it could be valid for a no-fee transfer. The following guidance explains how to complete the transfer yourself, through your customer account.

Step 1:
Select the 'Menu' icon in the top left to open our website menu.
Step 2:
Select the 'Holidaymaker' item to navigate to the account login page.
Step 3:
Login to your customer account, or select the link to 'Create an account'. Having a booking with any of the Original Cottages family of brands may not necessarily mean you have an account. See here for more details on our customer accounts.
Step 4:
Bookings that are available for transfer are identified with the notification and message above its listing in your upcoming bookings. Select the 'Transfer this booking' to begin the process.
Step 5:
Select a start date from the calendar for your booking to transfer to. Available start dates for your length of stay show a guide price. Where the property is not available, the dates are coloured in grey.
On the next screen you will be able to review pricing between your original booking and your new booking before confirming your transfer. You can also return to the calendar to select an alternative start date if you wish. After reviewing your pricing, you will be presented with a confirmation including your new booking reference.
Once your transfer is complete, your Upcoming Bookings list will update to show the status of your original booking and your new booking.

The 'Transfer my booking' button isn't appearing on my booking:
Currently, we can only transfer bookings under the following conditions:
- The property owner has agreed to allow customers to make their own booking transfers
- Whilst we're doing everything we can to get the agreement of homeowners, there are some who are yet to respond to us or wish to only permit transfers with certain conditions.
- The booking start date is within the next 6 weeks
- This is calculated as a rolling date, rather than a fixed date in the future. This allows us to prioritise bookings as required, whilst also being flexible and reactive to Government advice and travel restrictions during the national crisis caused by Coronavirus.
- The booking status is 'Confirmed' or 'Confirmed Fully Paid'
- Bookings that are in the provisional status cannot be transferred. Provisional bookings that have been accepted, but don't have any payment made on them, require some payment for us to be able to make the transfer. You can do this in your account bookings list with a minimum payment amount of £100. These funds will transfer with your booking with no additional fees incurred.
- The booking was made directly with an Original Cottages Family brand, or with a selected affiliate partner.
- Bookings made with many of our affiliate partners are not currently available to transfer. This is because of the complex relationships we have with our partners in regards to payments and so forth. We are working to identify and allow bookings made with affiliate partners to be transferred, but these are being worked on in a priority order, with some proving more challenging than others.
I would instead like to cancel my booking instead of completing a transfer, can I do that?
Should you prefer to cancel your holiday we would advise that you check with your travel insurance provider as to whether you are covered. If you have not taken out travel insurance for your upcoming holiday with us, then you can request a transfer of your holiday dates, free of any administration charges, as detailed above.
