Description
Centrally located at the heart of the town of Fowey, this wonderful Cornish cottage is the ideal bolthole for a seaside getaway. Close to the Bodinnick car ferry and within 200 metres of the town's quay, pubs and restaurants, there’s plenty to explore nearby. Readymoney Cove is 0.6 miles on foot and has a sandy beach and rock pools to explore. Enjoy a trip to Polruan on the passenger ferry or travel to the village of Mevagissey on a pretty coastal boat trip. Slightly further afield, fun family attractions include the Eden Project, Hangloose Adventures, Charlestown (one of the filming locations in the TV series Poldark), and The Lost Gardens of Heligan, all within 14 miles. Walkers will appreciate the countless beaches and coastal walks, all within 20 miles.
Stepping off the streets of Fowey and through the gates towards the private rear courtyard, you are greeted by an oasis of calm and beauty. Enter into the large, traditional cottage kitchen which is fully equipped and perfect for packing up a good lunch for a day out exploring. Off the kitchen is a handy utility room where you can hang wet suits and store beach items. The living room boasts a Smart TV, plenty of seating to relax and kick back after a long day out and about, and fabulous views of the estuary from the French doors. Upstairs, the house has three bedrooms, all with en-suite shower rooms. The master bedroom has a double bed with amazing river views offering the perfect spot for breakfast in bed or a lazy morning. The single bedroom next door offers equally exciting water views, whilst across the spacious hallway is the final bedroom offering twin beds and views over the courtyard.
Outside is a beautiful, enclosed garden with garden furniture and BBQ as well as a fabulous large balcony with breathtaking sea views – the perfect spot to dine alfresco and watch the boats sail by.
