Description
Looe is a picturesque town located in South East Cornwall divided into two by the Looe River and connected by a bridge. The town is known for its scenic harbour and historic buildings and is perfect for dogs with several dog friendly beaches, parks and walks. It has a long history as a fishing port and today visitors can still see the fishing boats coming in and out of the harbour. Looe is also famous for its food, especially fresh seafood, and there is a good selection of restaurants and cafes serving up delicious dishes. The town is surrounded by stunning countryside and there are plenty of opportunities for walking, cycling and exploring the nearby villages and towns. Local attractions include the Monkey Sanctuary (4.6 miles), a boat trip from the harbour to Looe Island Nature Reserve or book a tour and wine tasting at Looe Valley Vineyard (4.7 miles).
A reverse-level, Grade 2 listed cottage full of individual features and set across three levels, the upper level being home to the open plan kitchen/dining and living room with patio doors leading out to the balcony. A light-filled space with a high vaulted ceiling, exposed beams and natural wooden flooring adding to the characterful feel. Two comfy sofas allow you to relax and watch your favourite shows on the Smart TV or just spill out onto the balcony to extend the living space and breathe in the fresh sea air. The modern kitchen provides all you need for home cooking but for another option why not take a leisurely stroll to the bustling streets of the town centre and sample the delights of one of the local restaurants nearby. Moving downstairs you will find the second bedroom furnished with three cosy single beds and an en suite bathroom featuring a charming claw-foot bathtub with a hand-held shower attachment. Also located on this floor is the double bedroom which boasts a private shower room and convenient access to the cobbled parking area through its own set of doors. On the lower ground floor there’s a practical utility area equipped with a Belfast sink and a washing machine, as well as an additional entrance door – making it an ideal space for unloading and storing your beach gear after a fun-filled day by the shore. To make the process easier, a handy trolley is provided to assist you with transport your equipment back and forth.
The enclosed sun-trap balcony is accessed from the living area and is a lovely space to sit out and watch the sunset or enjoy a morning coffee whilst taking in views of the sea and across to Banjo Pier.
