Reviews

Nice, clean cottage in a remote location but within driving distance to hotspots. Lanes are narrow, but this is rural Cornwall, if you need supplies there's nothing within walking distance.

Mr C,

Smaller than expected. Garden at the back (only accessible from the front door) is not secure for dogs. Check out time of 9am is a pain given all the chores you have to do. However, the cottage is very peaceful and in a good location.

Mrs C,

On arriving at the cottage we were surprised how teeny weeny it is ! It certainly is not big enough for three dogs. One medium sized or two toy sized dogs. Also the sofa in the photograph is incorrect, the sofa in the cottage is a grey corded material not what is in the photograph.

Mrs P,

Cottage was nice , is really secluded and is great if you want a place away from it all , locals really friendly and gave great places to visit . Beaches mostly all dog friendly in local vicinity

Mr T,

In the middle of nowhere

Mrs L,

The cottage is lovely but too small for three dogs as specified. Possibly two small dogs or one large one. Garden is not secure smallest escaped through the fence even though I was there. Access roads: locals think they are speedway.

Mr M,

We’ve been here twice now and both times the cottage has been a DELIGHT! The weather absolutely made the trip last week and we felt spoilt for choice with all the lovely beaches. The cottage is the perfect remote location so we’re not close to lots of footfall and noise. But also really easy distance to Looe and many amazing beaches. We love that we can have 3 dogs here, it’s not often you find places that allow more than 2. We will definitely be back next year! Highly recommend Lansallos beach and it’s less than a 10 min drive from the cottage. It’s been a wonderful time away and we never wanted for anything in the cottage, everything was there and more. Thank you.

Mrs B,

Great fully furnished every thing you would want in a special cottage.

Mrs B,

Location

The town of Looe has charming narrow streets leading down to a picturesque harbour, and is split into East and West Looe by the river that runs through it, and on down to the beach.  Looe's sandy beach has a little cafe where you can linger over a cup of coffee while people-watching or admiring the view. There are a number of lovely cafes, as well as restaurants and pubs to choose from, making this a great destination for the foodies among you. You will have the opportunity to buy freshly-caught fish from the market on the quay, or if you fancy it, go out on a fishing trip to have a go at catching your own! If you don't fancy fishing, a good alternative boat trip is to Looe Island, where you can find some lovely examples of rare plants, and spot plenty of wildlife, including grey seals and seabirds.  Looe Marine Conservation Group can give you more information about the island and its wildlife. Looe is said to be a wonderful place to enjoy the New Year festivities, a time when many happy party-goers in fancy dress descend upon the town to soak up the atmosphere and enjoy a magnificent display of fireworks.
