Location
Located on the south coast, Mevagissey is a traditional Cornish fishing village complete with narrow streets and colourful boats in the picturesque harbour. The local fishing fleet has made the village famous for its seafood and accompanying restaurants. There are also many shops, galleries and pubs to sample too, as well as plenty of things to do including visiting the model railway, the aquarium and the beautiful ferry trip to nearby Fowey. The popular Lost Gardens of Heligan are only a couple of miles away from the village and the world famous Eden Project is only 10 miles. There are a few beaches in the area to explore as well as the South West Coast Path which wends its way around the cliffs and beaches of the whole county. In June every year, Mevagissey celebrates a week of music, dance and fun as part of the Feat Week, with a carnival and fireworks to round off the week.
