Description

Lynwood Cottage has been lovingly renovated throughout and takes advantage of the traditional cottage but with a modern and cosy feel.

Lynwood Cottage is a perfect base for just the two of you to explore Cornwall and is just a 10 minute walk of the town centre at Marazion.

On entering the living room you are greeted with an impressive fireplace with multi-fuel stove to enjoy on those cooler evenings. This is the perfect cottage for a romantic break at any time of the year and your dog can come too. There is dining space for two, opening through to a modest in size but well-equipped kitchen which leads on to an enclosed rear courtyard. The first floor is a well-proportioned with a comfortable king size bedroom and bathroom.

Marazion is a quaint town on the shore of Mount's Bay near Penzance with a good range of local shops and galleries to explore. Be sure to take a day to visit the impressive St Michael's Mount and gardens and time your visit to walk over the Causeway at low tide. Alternatively take the boat and visit this fairytale place. If you like nature and birdwatching then take your binoculars and visit Marazion Marsh which is a lovely unspoilt natural area with open areas of water, reed beds, grassland and footpaths through. You'll find many watersports options locally along with the Jubilee Pool at Penzance - the UK's largest, most celebrated art deco sea water lido and geothermally heated pool and it's a great base from which to explore West Cornwall.

Reviews

The cottage was very charming, lovely log fire if you wanted it. Good size for 2 people . Bed was exceptionally comfortable with nice linen. Our only gripe was the parking, double yellows everywhere, although neighbours parked outside our cottage on the double lines. We had a lovely time but spent a fortune on logs and kindle wood. We would go back again.

Mrs B,

The Cottage was cosy, fab location, local pub a winner and bed so comfy!

Mrs M,

Lovely little cottage, perfect for a week for two exploring the local beaches. The log burner is especially nice to have in chilly winter months, as are all the easy to use appliances. Great location for Marazion!

Mrs F,

The cottage is beautiful and one of the best we have stayed in and we will definitely be returning to Marazion. Whilst there isn't a smart TV we took our fire stick and that worked fine. Thank you also for the welcome pack. Thank you

Mrs H,

Parking is a bit of a pain trying to get a space in the road

Mr P,

The cottage was lovely, very clean and had everything we needed. Our only gripe was that it did smell rather musty/damp downstairs when we arrived and the same when we came back each day. It would also be useful to have instructions for the oven which we could not find and to have a dustpan/brush available.

Mrs C,

Beautiful place to stay can’t fault anything

Mr G,

The decor in the property is stunning. Beautiful. Lovely log burner and comfy sofa and bed too. Lots of equipment in the kitchen. Courtyard is tiny - just enough room to sit at a table. Nearest pub is temporarily closed, but there are others in Marazion proper with lovely food. Beach is dog friendly. TV isn't a smart TV and I couldn't get my iPhone to mirror (WiFi too slow, I think) so if streaming is important to you with the British weather, pack cables to connect devices to the TV. Cottage is truly lovely and we loved Marazion itself. We would love to return.

Mrs G,

Lovely cottage. Small but beautifully formed. Well presented and equipped
