Description

A contemporary, ground-floor apartment, retaining many original and quirky features, right in the heart of Marazion and which has been creatively refurbished to ensure a feeling of calmness and tranquillity from the moment you enter. Decorated in muted grey tones with duck egg blue touches against a backdrop of crisp white walls, Little Kantara is a delight. A skillful mix of reclaimed materials, upcycled furniture, window shutters and tasteful furnishings have been used to design a very individual property. With floor-to-ceiling glass doors leading from the sumptuous bedroom to the south-facing sun terrace, wake up to glistening sea views whilst enjoying your early morning coffee in bed. With nautical features such as the artfully-placed original ship window above the kitchen sink, you can wash up whilst gazing at the sea view. The induction range cooker and sleek, stone kitchen worktops will set your creative cooking juices flowing and with a spacious dining and living area, friends will be welcome for dinner.

Marazion, most famous for being the home of St Michael’s Mount, is a hive of activity with a number of independent restaurants, cafes, pubs and shops to browse around. A good range of eateries are all within a close walk and a casual evening stroll along the soft, sandy beach whilst the sun is setting over the bay is a must to experience. At low tide you can walk the ancient cobbled causeway to the Mount and enjoy the most spectacular views from the top and explore the glorious gardens on the way up. Watersports, fishing trips, wildlife boat rides and cultural activities are just a few ideas to entertain you but take the time to explore West Cornwall, as there’s nowhere quite to special.

Reviews

Cottage was very comfortable, very well equipped everything you needed to ensure your stay was comfortable,I would happily stay here again

Mrs P,

We absolutely loved Little Katarna. Great interior decor, open airy feel. The kitchen had loads of equipment. We loved the littke quirky extras throughout the appartment. The port hole in the kitchen looking through to the bedroom and beyond was a brill idea. The bedroom was nice and light with patio doors leading out to the patio area. I was extremely pleased that you were unable to hear any traffic noise, even though it's close to the road. Parking is a bit of a walk - especially when we left the door key in the car

Mrs M,

Very disappointed as it is not what it states and darker on the inside in the daytime than it shows on the photos. Have stayed at better properties with sea views for a lot less. You cannot look at the sea sitting on the patio. Neighbours hedges far too high and ruin the view. Certainly cannot see from the bed like it says you can. A big disappointment all round.

Mrs T,

Apartment Equipment is perfect. Lovely apartment, I would recommend to my best friends. Everything you need is found in the Kitchen. Nice little town Marazion, with a few pubs and restaurants. We had wonderfull two weeks in there and love to come back soon.

Dr F,

Lovely large apartment, the sea view is a bonus. Parking is a fair walk away so worth bearing in mind if that would be challenging for you. The shower pressure was terrible the whole week and was the main thing that really let the place down for us unfortunately. Marazion itself is pretty and so great to see St Michael’s Mount every day. It was a good base for us as it was quite central and easy to get to other places nearby for day trips.

Mrs N,

I would definitely recommend this apartment. Everything was beautiful inside and it was well equipped for our stay. Lovely touches like the baskets with blankets in, shower gel provided and wash powder etc, everything was there. I was very impressed and would definitely stay here again x

Mrs L,

Great stay, very close to all amenities, great level of comfort, well equipped kitchen, shame no sun loungers or bbq as described, but had a great stay and would stay again

Mr C,

A beautiful little gem of a cottage, with fantastic views from the back deck. Perfect location to access the South West Coast trail in Marazion or an easy drive to other starting points for day walks

Ms G,

Unsere Erwartungen wurden voll erfüllt. Besonderen Dank an unsere Houskeeperin Angie die immer für uns da war.

Mr K,

Great location, comfortable and clean and generous with essentials in the kitchen (dishwasher tablets, washing up liquid ect..) which is appreciated.

Mrs G,

Really lovely cottage and in a great location. We will certainly be back! Thanks for everything.

Mr H,

Beautifully designed seaside cottage. Lots of thoughtful pieces and great equipment from coffee makers to washer/dryer. Location is perfect.

Ms K,

Lovely cottage location and very well equipped and comfortable, easy walk to beach and local pubs

Mrs B,

Only 4 coat hangers for 2 of us for a week, I txext and asked for a few more. Owner said she would ‘endeavour’ to get more to us….i didn’t happen so nearly £1000 for a week and we lived mostly out of our suitcases….

Mrs B,

Little Kantara was a lovely place to stay. It's well decorated and furnished. The kitchen was well equipped with everything you could possibly need. The extra touches like the cosy blankets and selection of books were a plus especially as the weather wasn't great during our stay.

Mr H,

We found the property to be ideally located and all on one level was just perfect. Very comfortable and relaxing. Comfortable Kingsize bed with patio dorrs out to the view of the sea. Sitting by the patio doors every morning with a cup of tea listening to the sea and birds was just idyllic. We would definalty return to this property.

Mrs N,

Location

Marazion is home to the iconic castle of St Michael's Mount and, offering stunning views towards the Lizard Peninsula and Land's End, it's understandably a popular destination. The ancient market town has a fascinating history and claims to be the oldest town in Britain. It's a great place to visit any time of the year with an abundance of restaurants, traditional pubs, craft shops, art galleries and so much more! There's an excellent sandy beach, guarded by St Michael's Mount, that's ideal for swimming, sailing, kite surfing and all kinds of watersports. The surrounding countryside is dotted with little hamlets and quaint villages with the whole area designated an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) - a great location for bird watching and dolphin spotting.

Godolphin Cross, a little hamlet only 6 miles from Marazion, lies nestled at the base of Godolphin Hill within the Cornish Mining World Heritage site. From the summit of Godolphin Hill there are spectacular panoramic views over West Cornwall and the Lizard Peninsula. The nearby fishing village of Porthleven and the town of Helston are a short drive away as well as the well-known attractions of Flambards, Paradise Park and Gweek Seal Sanctuary which make excellent days out for all age groups. The Lizard Peninsula encompasses numerous picturesque coves and sandy beaches for you to enjoy including Praa Sands, Mullion and Coverack. It's an area which remains unspoilt and is definitely a real Cornish gem!
