Reviews

Central location. As stated in description note the garden is not directly attached to property and smaller than the picture depicts . The ventilation of property can be an issue as no bedroom windows. Also the smoke alarms are very sensitive and only one window in the living area so we had to open the front door when cooking. This property is centrally located and there are other less steep ways to and from the centre Beach and dog park are close by.

Mrs G,

Really good location, 5 minutes walk from Porthmeor beach to the North, and 5 minutes to the main town/harbour area to the East. No parking provided, but there is enough space on the street to unload the car for 5-10 minutes without blocking access. After unloading we parked the car at the Trenwith car park - this is about a 10 minute walk away, down and up some steep hills but only costs £26 for a 1 week pass. Always managed to get a space (may be harder during the summer holidays). The flat itself is on the ground floor, few steps down from the backdoor / few steps up to the front door. The main living area and ktichen is really nice and there is a sea view from the window. The main bedroom is quite small, 1x double bed and some shelves. It is attached to a large en-suite bathroom. The flat also has a seperate WC and a small room with bunk beds and a wardrobe. The flat was a decent enough size for the 2 of us and the dog, it would probably be quite tight for 4 people though. Would definitely stay again as it is great for getting to the best parts of St Ives quickly (coming back up the hills might not be as swift though!).

Mr G,

Great little holiday property and fantastic location. Parking is a nightmare though. It is double yellows or permit holders only, everywhere. The owners should really consider providing a permit for guests to use. It seems plenty of others do this already. The car park that is near by is very small and always full. You have to keep driving round and round until you get a space. Lots of people doing this so it can take a long time to get a space. When you have a dog and lots of bags, this is not very practical. I would recommend the property but I feel the parking needs to be made aware to guests more.

Mrs J,

Nice sized property for 2 people in a good location for beaches and town. It's up a hill, so if you would struggle with this, then it's not for you.

Ms Laura F,

Location

St Ives is one of Cornwall's top destinations and a beautiful seaside town where visitors can enjoy a traditional beach holiday with a twist. It's easy to understand why the town has been attracting painters, sculptors and ceramists for decades with its stunning scenery and natural quality of light- one of only four Tate Galleries in the world is located here in the heart of the town. The town itself arcs around the working harbour- the heart of the historic fishing community. You could lose yourself for hours in the charming cobbled streets which are crammed with gift and craft shops, art galleries, top notch restaurants and welcoming local pubs- a real treasure trove just waiting to be explored!

St Ives also has four fabulous beaches, Porthmeor, Porthgwidden, Harbour beach and Porthminster which between them offer miles of golden sand and hours of building sand castles, playing in the rock pools and other family friendly activities. Dogs are welcomed out of season. Throughout the year, St Ives has a busy event calendar including the St Ives Food & Drink Festival in May and a Music & Arts Festival in September.
