Description

An appealing, thatched holiday cottage, situated in verdant, north Norfolk surroundings, this exceptional retreat makes a superb place from which to enjoy the coast and the countryside. Sleeping four guests, the two-bedroom cottage is one of three holiday homes on the owner’s property, with privacy assured, and can be booked together for larger groups. The property is only 1.5 miles from the beach at West Runton, where you can swim, picnic, and explore the rock pools. There is a pub, grocers, station, two cafes, a restaurant, and golf all to be found within half a mile of the cottage's front door. Discover footpaths to follow from the cottage or strike out along the Norfolk Coast Path then catch the Coasthopper bus back again. Head into the seaside resort of Cromer, 2.5 miles away, to shop, enjoy the beach, or dine out.

Open the door to this light-filled cottage, with its many windows, and wander through to the lounge to relax together before your next adventure. Unpack any groceries you have bought locally in the well-equipped kitchen/diner, where you will find everything you need to prepare a meal, and a dishwasher to make your stay as easy as possible. There is a dining table and chairs for all to sit and eat together and plan the next day's adventure. The French windows open onto the garden on fine days. As night falls, make your way to either the double bedroom or the twin, each of which has an en-suite shower room, with shower cubicle and WC.

Set the table for breakfast, lunch, and dinner in your private, enclosed garden when the weather permits and soak up the serenity of this outside space.

Absolutely lovely cottage, in a great location. We were met by the owner on arrival who told us the history of the property and advised us on places to eat that night. It was exceptionally clean and well equipped cottage. Tea, coffee, milk, biscuits and apple juice supplied on arrival. Everything you could possibly need was there, including items for our dog! Would definitely recommend this property and we intend to return later in the year, if it's available.

Lovely cosy cottage in a beautiful location with different paths for walking through the woods to the beach. The kitchen is very well equipped, the bathroom towels fluffy and fragrant and the heating programming was ideal. Thoughtful touches with welcome gifts and fresh flowers topped it all off!

Lovely well equipped cottage in a quiet area. Met by owners on arrival and given a jar of homemade marmalade which was delicious. Some other goodies also provided. 1.5 miles to West Runton down hill so needed the car to get out and about.Good area for walkers though with plenty of tracks on National Trust land. Two other cottages adjacent to Vine Cottage also available. Altogether a peaceful comfortable cottage.

Very cosy cottage well equipped and in a lovely peaceful location. Great woodland walks close by and easy access to the beach at west Ru ton. Some nice pubs nearby which serve great food and have lovely gardens which are dog friendly. The hosts have provided a great deal of information for you to enjoy your stay and seek out good food, walks and places of interest. Excellent stay very relaxing and quite easy to lose track of time and days in this quiet and peaceful home from home. Enclosed garden was great for our dog who could run around safely and enjoy the outside. The treats for the dog were very good and went the extra mile by providing a dog tag with address. Very thoughtful and much appreciated.

Beautiful cottage and great hosts. Cottage was spotless on arrival and all amenities were maintained at an exceptional standard. Perfect place to take a dog, with securely enclosed garden and pet hamper. Good location, short drive to local attractions and the beach.

We arrived at the requested time to be welcomed by the owner, who proceeded to give us some complimentary marmalade (home made) which was delightful, the cottage was as we expected and much more, we had an enclosed garden for the dog, which was also protected from the element's by shrubs, making this even more private, this beds where delightful, the lounge area was very homely and comfortable and this kitchen area, including this dishwasher had everything to make our stay very good indeed, the overall expectations where exceeded beyond our hopes, we had a great time, the surrounding areas of pathways where very accessible and provided us with a variety of flat and hill walks. We are already planning our next visit, I would highly recommed this cottage and the owners to anyone looking for a tranquil holiday retreat

We received a very warm welcome from the owners. The cottage was presented excellently and very comfortably furnished with everything we needed during our stay. There were several unexpected items to surprise and delight us, a basket containing towels for the dogs, poo bags, treats and tags for their collars with the owners details, which we thought was a great idea for them to wear during their stay. There was very tasty shortbread biscuits and lindt chocolates for us, all were a lovely surprise. I would definitely recommend.

The property was very easy to find and as arrived an immediate welcome from the property owners. :) The cottage is extremely comfortable, lounge and bedrooms. We brought a few extras equipment wise for cooking but needn't have bothered as kitchen is well equipped. Definitely book again when next in area.
