Reviews

We had the perfect stay at Gallus House. 5 Adults, 2 children and 2 dogs. Plenty of space, beautiful rooms. We couldn't find any fault with our stay. The welcome basket was a lovely addition and very thoughtful. Our children loved the outdoor space, the games room, hot tub and the fact they had their own lounge to relax and watch tv in. We will definitely be returning.

Mr G,

Clean and comfortable. Property well equipped with great welcome basket.

Mr H,

This house was perfect for our multi-generational family holiday. It had everything we could possibly need. The garden was really secure and perfect for the dog, so much so that we felt able to leave him outside by himself knowing he couldn't escape. The kitchen was really well equipped with everything you could possibly need. We also really appreciated the 2 separate sitting rooms, both with T.V.s The house in nicely situated just over the road from a very nice restaurant/pub. It is wise to book early if you wish to eat there as it's very popular. There are many nice beaches within a reasonable distance including Overstrand which is walkable.

Mrs C,

A lovely well equipped house. Decor throughout very tasteful. Large rooms. Felt like home from home. Great location for travelling around. Useful pub right opposite the house serving lovely food and pub guests didn’t disturb us at night at all. We really enjoyed our stay. Thank you.

Mrs B,

Gallus House is definitely worth a visit, great location with lots of facilities to keep you happy. A hot tub, games (both indoor and outdoor) bbq which we used often. Books to read. A well equipped kitchen and comfortable lounges and bedrooms (2 en-suite and a family bathroom) all perfect for our 6 adults 2 children a baby and 2 dogs! I can’t recommend it highly enough. Thank you for a fabulous holiday.

Mrs C,

Overall the property is really nice. It is really spacious, which was great for 4 adults and 2 younger children. The location is also great, with the pub across the road, the beach nearby and all local attractions within a short drive. There are also some lovely walks from the property (which are also suitable for running). The parking is good, suitable for 2 cars and there’s plenty of on street parking as well. However, with the property being advertised as more upmarket, there were a few little aspects which were disappointing (but may sound petty!), such as the quality and lack of kitchen utensils and unkept lawn. The high chair and travel cot (we brought our own mattress thankfully) were welcomed, but there were no stair gates. Overall it was a nice place to stay, and the location was prefect.

Mrs H,

Great location and facilities. Everything you could think of was provided and welcome pack was a nice touch, which we appreciated. Was great having two living rooms so the youngsters had their own room to watch TV or play games in. Spent a lot of time in the garden, which was enclosed and the dog loved. Also great to have darts and table tennis to play. Pub opposite was lovely with a warm welcome and nice food. Village nice and central for coast and the broads.

Mrs J,

Just beautiful. Gallus House is perfectly located; a peaceful setting with easy access to everywhere you need to go. Believe the description but add generous welcome pack, high quality bedding and towels, top end furnishing and fittings and access to all streaming channels. It is a special place.

Mr M,

Fabulous property the pictures do not do it justice as much better in the flesh. Will certainly return

Mrs H,

Beautiful, great facilities, spotlessly clean, and so relaxing. Can’t recommend highly enough. Will be back!

Dr C,

We stayed at Gallus House for the weekend and it was one of the most beautiful, relaxing and comfortable places I have ever stayed. The house is spacious, welcoming, elegantly presented, and immaculately clean. The hot tub had had a change of water the day we arrived which meant it didn’t heat to full temperature until the next day, but that was absolutely fine because then we made the most of it by going in three times the next day, including in the evening with a glass of bubbles and a beautiful starry night sky! The fire place in the main living room was heavenly. The games room was lots of fun. The beds were so comfortable, we slept like logs! And the location is excellent, with a public footpath leading all the way to the beach (30 mins scenic walk), and even better - a pub over the road that does pizzas to eat in or takeaway, as well as a great standard menu and of course… great wine! We are already talking about when we can come and stay again. A wonderful mini break. We left very happy and very relaxed. Thank you so much!

Ms B,

Very comfortable- we were 7 adults one small child and two dogs- spacious well planned and beautifully furnished for a get away

Ms R,

The property is a lovely mixture of period features and modern interiors. The space is excellent for a large family and there was lots to keep the children occupied. We loved using the hot tub and the games room and the dog was safe and happy in a secure garden.

Mrs B,

Absolutely stunning property! Immaculately clean! Extremely well equipped, truly the most comfortable place we've ever stayed! Very friendly pub staff and customers right opposite the house. All details reference instructions from the onset right through to the final emails are implicitly detailed. Would thoroughly recommend.
