Reviews

Thought the cottage was fantastic with everything we could possibly want and more. The welcome basket was very generous and very welcome.

Miss W,

Lovely well equipped cottage and beautiful gardens. Everything has been thought of, it was like home from home. Welcome basket was a lovely gesture too. Great location, quiet and secluded, yet only minutes from Wroxham centre. Highly recommend.

Mrs B,

Cottage was very well equipped, and the welcome hamper was a very nice touch.

Mr D,

We spent a lovely week at Forge Cottage. Everything you could possibly need for a relaxed holiday is provided. Lovely and clean and a wonderful garden. Great area with lots to do for all ages. Owners were superb when we had an external powercut and worked hard to get power back up and running within a few hours. We were kept informed at all times.

Mrs B,

We enjoyed our stay. The cottage and garden were lovely.

Mrs B,

Beautiful cottage in a lovely rural location but not far from Wroxham centre by car. Very little traffic passes the cottage. The garden was wonderful and very large. The flowerbeds were beautiful! The cottage had an upstairs and downstairs toilet which is handy for six people.

Mrs C,

Really enjoyed our 3rd stay at Forge Cottage and we are already planning our next visit. A really relaxing week away in somewhere that feels like home. The garden is beautiful and big. We have seen the garden in 3 different times of the year and each time it has not disappointed. A lovely place to sit and relax with a coffee whilst the children play. Amazing for an Easter egg hunt this year! It has everything you need. Fully equipped kitchen, comfortable beds, supplies for the log burner and a lovely welcome pack. Only only criticism is that the shower and garden furniture could do with updating. It is an old cottage so has some character to it. I can not wait to come back to my favourite cottage.

Mrs P,

Fantastic cottage, with everything you could possibly need. Great garden for dogs, full enclosed. Welcome pack was amazing, going that extra mile to give a perfect stay.

Mr M,

Fantastic cottage. The owner extremely helpful in the case you have any issues during the stay. Lovely welcoming gift on arrival with essentials which is a nice touch. We would certainly book again and thoroughly enjoyed our stay as a family. Having an autistic child this was a great location for us.

Mr D,

Location

The quiet village of Ashmanhaugh is an ideal location from which to discover the beauty of the Norfolk Broads. This fine network of waterways offers lovely riverside walks as well as boating and fishing opportunities. Wroxham - the capital of The Broads - is just four miles away and is home to Roys, the 'world's largest village store' and several other shops and restaurants which provide a good variety of food and souvenir options. The craft and play centres of Wroxham Barns are close by with plenty to see and do; from shopping and enjoying a light lunch with friends to having a fun day out with the children at the farm and fun park. Bewilderwood, an award-winning forest of family fun and outdoor adventure with treehouses, wobbly wires, storytelling and boat rides, is just a 6-minute drive away. The stunning Hoveton Hall Gardens is well worth a visit and within walking distance of the cottage. The local landscape offers great opportunity for cycling (on quiet country roads) as well as walking, wildlife and birdwatching. The historic city of Norwich is just eight miles away, with the sandy beaches of both the North and the East Coast easily accessible.
