Description
Barton Barn is a spectacular barn conversion lovingly created to a high standard in 2017. The stunning property enjoys an elevated position above a wooded valley with panoramic views through the fully glazed gable end of the lounge. From the boot-room entrance, steps lead down to the huge kitchen/diner with a glass panelled gallery landing, which leads from the stairs at one end to the lounge at the far end of the same room. The whole of the ground floor benefits from under-floor heating. Patio doors from the kitchen lead to an enclosed patio, perfect for al fresco dining. Steps down from the kitchen lead to the master bedroom with super-king size bed and en-suite facilities. Above this bedroom, at the end of the galleried landing, is the lounge with a free-standing woodburner and spectacular picture windows. A pair of binoculars are available to check out the wildlife. Also upstairs is a second bedroom with en-suite facilities. The village of Bishop Nympton, a short walk away, has a general store and post office. Three miles away is the market town of South Molton with a wide range of shops, pubs and restaurants as well as a market twice a week. The easiest beach to drive to would be Westward Ho! which is a 30 minute drive. Westward Ho! is the only place in Britain with an explanation mark in its name, but there's more to it than quirky grammar. Golden Bay beach is a long strip of sand backed by a pebble ridge. On the northern end, you can access the Northern Burrows, a scientifically important area which juts out into the mouth of the estuary.
