Description

Saltrock Cottage is a recently refurbished lovely detached property located in the heart of the market town of Kingsbridge. Comfortably sleeping five in two very spacious bedrooms, this property is great for families and is in the ideal location to explore the beautiful South Hams. With plenty of local shops, restaurants and cafes on your doorstep there is something for all the family to enjoy. Kingsbridge is also on the bus route and you can easily access many of the other beautiful towns such as Salcombe and Dartmouth. You will be a short drive away from Bantham, well known for its fabulous surf community, it is easy to spend the day with family and friends on this beautiful sandy beach. 

Ground Floor

Kitchen/Dining area: Electric oven, ceramic hob, fridge/freezer, microwave, washer/dryer, wall mounted 42" Smart TV, wine cooler and Nespresso coffee machine. 

Lounge: 42" Smart TV (Freeview, Guests can sign into their own Netflix), corner sofa, coffee table and occasional chair. 

First Floor

Master Bedroom: King size bed, bedside tables with lamps, large open wardrobe.

Bedroom 2: Double bed and one single bed, bedside table with lamp, built-in wardrobe. 

Family Shower room: Large walk in shower, w.c., and vanity unit.

Separate WC: W.C. and vanity unit 

Parking: Private parking is not available, however there is plenty of on street parking on Duncombe Street (please check parking times) and several nearby car parks.

Security Deposit: This property has a refundable Accidental Damage Deposit of £200, which is payable with the final balance of your holiday, eight weeks prior to your arrival, and is refunded within 5 working days of your departure. Alternatively, you may wish to pay a non-refundable Accidental Damage Deposit Waiver equivalent to 10% of the Accidental Damage Deposit value, which covers you for the full value of the Accidental Damage Deposit, should any damage occur during your stay.

Pets Welcome: Maximum of two pets accepted at £25 per pet per week.

Power & Heat: Gas and electricity included in rent.

We really enjoyed our stay. The location was perfect. The parking was hit and miss but never more than a 5 mins walk. Our dog loved the dog park!

We enjoyed our stay at Saltrock Cottage. It was a real home from home. We managed to find parking every day without any problem and having the park opposite was good for our dog. The location was very good less than 10 minutes to the town centre.

Very central location and lovely and bright and airy. Plenty of kitchen utensils too. Park for dogs just over the road. Don’t be afraid of there being no parking at the property as we always managed to park at the small car park opposite . There is also a car park at Tesco, 3 minutes walk away. Both easy to renew on the Ringo App .

In general a nice place to stay. Perfect for few days or a week, but for three weeks some things could be improved: fridge too small, not enough bowls and plates, pots and pans too old/damaged, washing and drying machine is very slow, heating was on only few hours in the early morning and evening so that towels wouldn‘t dry very good.

The cottage was extremely comfortable, clean, and very quiet. The park, directly opposite the cottage, was really useful for our 2 dogs. It was a fairly short walk to and from the Quay area but we found going via Church Street, rather than Fore Street, was a much easier walk. Whilst the free parking spaces on Dunscombe Street were usually occupied we could always find a spot in the small car park there.

This was a lovely little cottage to stay in for the week. Modern interior, very clean, and a quick walk to the nearby high street which had most shops you'd want / need. Don't be put off by the lack of garden, there is a small park directly opposite the house only a few steps away which was useful for those evening toilet trips for the dog. We were concerned about the lack of parking however we alternated between the few on street parking spaces directly outside the house, and the small car park next to the park opposite the house, and we always managed to find a space throughout our stay. We will definitely be returning!
