Westleton is a pretty village midway between Aldeburgh and Southwold, with the coast at Dunwich only two and a half miles away.  Centred around a large green, Westleton is one of the most popular places to stay on the Heritage Coast.  It is an ideal base for the beach or for Minsmere, as well as the coastal heaths and forests.  There are two good pubs, a restaurant and well-stocked village store/post office - all in the village centre.  Much of the area around the village is accessible to open heath or mixed woodland.

Reviews

We loved staying in Westleton, it's a great location for seeing the Suffolk coast and all it has to offer. We really enjoyed staying in White Clouds and were very comfortable there. There is plenty of equipment in the kitchen, comfortable beds and lovely garden to sit out in. The only shower is in the ensuite wet room which might be inconvenient for some, but otherwise we enjoyed staying at this property. It was our first visit to Suffolk and we loved it!

Mrs J,

We are seasoned holiday cottage renters (some 30+ years' worth) and so we found the cottage is functional but we had the impression that the owner/agent were not going the extra mile to make it comfortable rather than just functional eg poor TV set up on a table that was perilously unstable, a mish mash of kitchen crockery etc etc. A little bit more effort and it would have been much better. All really summed up by the "Guests comment book" ie bog standard notebook - and with no entries for several months.

Previous Customer,

A comfortable, quiet and generally well equipped bungalow in a lovely location with fantastic walks from the door. The garden was lovely - well tended at the front and attractively natural at the back.

Mrs W,

This was our third visit to this lovely cottage with its unusual and interesting garden, although the first time at this time of year. It did not disappoint and we feel it was one of the best holidays we've had - lots of walking on Westleton Heath, Dunwich Heath and RSPB Minsmere. The weather was kind and we were very comfortable at the cottage. Despite the bird feeders in the garden it seems that not many visitors bother to fill the feeders as we didn't see as many birds on the feeders as we expected. Interesting to see a muntjac deer in the garden more than once. We'll be back - thank you for letting us stay here.

Mrs S,

Peaceful location just outside a pretty village, but good road connections to many places of interest. Comfortable beds and other furniture, well-equipped kitchen. Surrounded by a large garden with good furniture.
