Reviews

Incredible house with everything you could possibly want, including games room in garage. High standard of furnishing, great powerful showers. Outside furniture needs cleaning and cushions provided. There were a couple in a grubby, spider infested shed. Also, if the weather had been better and we wanted to eat outside, as well as being uncomfortable, we would have had to listen to foul language, hammering and banging, and radio as house behind being renovated. This is usually mentioned when renting.

Mrs C,

Sunspray is a stunning house, very comfy, lovely decor with lovely views all around. Due to its location anyone with limited mobility would struggle to use the steps down to the road or the steps to the beach but anybody who is able bodied would be fine. There is a car park at the bottom of the hill so easy to drop people off for the beach. The house has plenty of equipment in the kitchen and there was washing up liquid etc in the cupboards. The welcome pack was much appreciated. If you like Nespresso coffee take some pods with you as there is a machine. We had a great stay and would certainly look forward to staying at Sunspray again the future.

Mrs D,

Great corrage and location. Just a shame about the noise from builders next door from 8am some mornings.

Dr R,

We have stayed several times here over the years. The property is lovely and the location is great. I would stay here again.

Mrs P,

Wonderful place to stay for a family holiday. Sunspray has everything we needed and more. Beach, shop and plenty of take-away food in walking distance- no need to use a car!

Mrs S,

Beautiful property, however views were restricted by the properties below which was less than described. It would benefit from a deeper clean and some light maintenance. The patio area needed to be cleared of fallen leaves and in particular the palm fronds. Advance warning of the hidden cutlery drawers would have been appreciated and would have avoided out of hours calls with the local representative. Pathways to the beach are either via the road or a steep walk down to the beach between houses; not easy for the elderly or those with a pushchair. Overall a lovely stay.

Dr C,

Location

Mawgan Porth is a fantastic destination for that timeless seaside holiday.  With a fish and chip shop, pub, restaurants, pitch and putt, village shop and, of course, the main attraction; the stunning, sandy beach – Mawgan Porth ticks all the boxes.  Whilst this beach-side village provides all the essentials for a traditional bucket-and-spade holiday, the modern extras are the icing on the cake.  The surfing at Mawgan Porth is superb with Kingsurf Surf School based on the beach.  Newquay is just down the road proving loads of activities for the family and also nightlife.  The food scene is booming in this part of Cornwall; with Rick Stein and Paul Ainsworth based just a few miles along the coast in Padstow and Jamie Oliver's Fifteen Cornwall located at the neighbouring Watergate bay, this is the spot for a bit of foodie indulgence.  The thrill-seekers are also perfectly placed for achieving their adrenaline kicks with Watergate Bay's Extreme Academy a couple of minutes' drive offering amongst other activities; surfing, kite buggying, landboarding and kitesurfing.  There is a golf course just outside the village and Newquay's small airport is only a couple of miles away, and with flights from London, Exeter, Birmingham, Leeds and more destinations it couldn't be easier to enjoy a holiday in this perfect spot.
