Reviews

Cannot fault the accommodation at all. The location is great just off the A30, 2 minutes walk from the fantastic Plume of Feathers. No garden for the dog as another guest said but there are a few grass verges near the property for first and last. The Cart House itself is pristine with top end appliances, fixtures and even the beautiful bedroom wallpaper. The utensils and crockery look brand new and the bed is so comfortable. The hosts were very helpful and easily contactable and left some lovely welcoming essentials. Would highly recommend staying here. Looking forward to our next stay.

Mrs S,

An excellent property, well equipped and fitted out. A perfect place for a stay, comfortable and luxurious in a great location. I’d recommend it to anyone

Mr K,

The location of this property for us was ideal for visiting different parts of Cornwall and the plume of feathers was in walking distance

Mr H,

Stunning property equipped and decorated to such a high standard. An absolute joy to stay here, a real break. The plume of feathers pub just down the road is absolutely excellent as well, a real bonus to have it so close. Property is in an excellent location for visiting stunning beaches, National Trust properties and beautiful walks. Owners are super helpful & great on communication. All in all a wonderful treat break that was a real tonic for the pair of us. Would unreservedly recommend a stay in this beautiful property.

Mrs W,

The Cart House is a delightful, well appointed and very comfortable property, offering all amenities. We felt very well there and enjoyed our stay thoroughly. Being part of a wider ensemble of other buildings and set in a rural and quiet environment, the Cart House also offered tranquility.

Mr H,

Lovely accommodation perfectly situated for visiting all parts of Cornwall. Facilities first class. Felt at home from the first moment we walked in. Nice quiet village with lovely pub and restaurant just a short walk away.

Mr W,

The cart house is gorgeous and kitted out to en exceptionally high standard. It’s very comfortable and spotlessly clean too. Really nice pub in the village.

Mrs K,

Location

When many people think of Newquay, often their first impressions are of the lively nightlife the town has to offer, but Newquay has much more up its sleeve than just pubs and clubs. There are no less than 11 beaches along this part of the coast, plenty of family fun and of course, are a mecca for the surfers who flock here all year round to ride the waves. A number of them are also dog friendly, so your best friend won't be left out either. From Newquay Harbour a wide variety of boat trips are available whether you want to head out to sea for a fishing trip, try your hand at some of the water-sports on offer, or just take in the beautiful scenery, there will be something for everyone.  If you're lucky, you may even spot a seal popping its head above the water! A more sedate option is the Trenance Gardens and Leisure park, with its boating lake where you can hire rowing- or pedal-boats. Nearby there is also the renowned Newquay Zoo, and a riding stables, from which you can explore on horseback the Gannel estuary, one of the many Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty Cornwall has to offer. A little further down the coast, Perranporth offers much in the way of family entertainment. There are beaches, cafes and water sports galore, plenty of wildlife, and for the historically-minded visitor, you can see an Iron Age fort and a local museum. If your interests lean more towards the literary, this stretch of coastline is known to have inspired Winston Graham to write the Poldark novels.
