Reviews

a lovely little property in beautiful surroundings with lovely places nearby to visit

Mrs G,

The cottage was in a quiet part of the village, but was in easy reach for the shops. When we arrived the owners were in there garden and greeted us with a very warm welcome. There was a nice welcome pack so we could have a hot drink after the drive. The cottage was very comfortable and warm and ready for our week stay. We will be looking into going back very soon.

Mrs F,

Sampson mill is a wonderful place to stay, so unique and very quiet. It is perfect for a couple and really well equipped. It is in a great location with lots a places to visit only a short drive or a cycle ride away. We spent a wonderful week there exploring the fantastic local area.

Mr O,

The cottage had everything we needed for a great week, the unusual building added interest. It was a very quiet and peaceful location but within easy reach of the Suffolk coastline. The owners were very friendly and helpful.

Mr L,

Quirky comfortable cottage in lovely location.

Mr C,

A cosy and comfortable quirky cottage in a great location for exploring the coast and countryside, we enjoyed our stay very much.

Ms S,

This is a lovely, quirky cottage. The area is lovely and the owners are very friendly and welcoming. The equipment supplied covers all eventualities, in fact, I don't think there is anything that has not been covered. The welcome pack supplied by the owners was a lovely surprise. We had a great time here and would certainly consider returning.

Mrs F,

Lovely converted mill in an ideal location for exploring the area. Aldeburgh, Southwold, Woodbridge and Framlingham all only a short drive away. Well-presented, well-equipped and comfortable. Highly recommended. We certainly shall be returning soon.

Mr B,

Lovely quirky cottage, compact, everything you need. Beautiful location. Helpful owners.

Mrs C,

Lovely compact cottage but with all anyone could want in it. Owners were friendly but not intrusive, they recommended somewhere to eat on our first night which was a hit. Pretty central for most tourist attractions.

Mrs W,

Really excellent and comfortable stay. Lovely hosts, great location

Mr T,

Great well appointed unique property in a fantastic quaint village in the Suffolk countryside. On the doorstep of plenty of places to visit during your stay so you can be as active as you wish. We had a great relaxing few days.

Mr T,

Sampson's Mill was a fabulous place to stop and is accurately described on the original cottages website. It was a great quirky place to stay and a definite for the future A really enjoyable stay.

Mr Y,

Lovely, comfortable property, perfect for two people. Owners are very friendly & accommodating. Wickham Market is a small town with a Co-op & a few takeaways with an amazing fish & chip shop. Sampsons Mill is a great base for visiting the wonderful Suffolk coast & countryside.

Mrs L,

A beautiful and unique property, in a great location and centre for exploring a wide area of the coast and countryside. A very private hide-away, but the owners were on hand should anything be needed. Shops for essentials were also just a ten minute walk away. My favourite nearby location was Woodbridge (5 miles away) where there was plenty to see and do, and a wonderful river-side walk to get away from everything (bird-watching excellent especially at low tide). Recommended without reservation.

Mrs P,

This is a lovely property for a romantic break, and it was in spotless condition when we arrived. The proprietor was most helpful with directions and on arrival. We had a wonderful break and hope that we shall be able to return before long.

Mr David G

Very comfortable and spotlessly clean. ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The mill was quaint and a little difficult to find but our stay was very comfortable. Everything worked well. Thank you.
