Description

The Barn is a beautifully converted barn, idyllically located in Llannor amongst 15 acres of Llyn Peninsula farmland. With a stunning interior, well-maintained terrace and grounds, and far reaching countryside views, this is a perfect couple’s rural retreat.

The heart of this hideaway is the breathtaking and opulent lounge with dramatic high ceilings with exposed beams, original flagstone flooring and an expanse of original art and prints. Every corner reveals a detailed design touch, original feature or exquisite piece such as the twisted metal mermaids that watch over this vast yet warm room. A wooden staircase leads to a small landing where double pine doors open to reveal a romantic master bedroom with further exposed beams. A pretty ground floor kitchen and modern shower room complete this fabulous holiday home.

Outside, The Barn offer a lovely raised terrace with colourful pots in abundance, high quality outdoor dining table and chairs, barbecue and uninterrupted countryside views. The owners nurture and tend to the spectacular fruit and vegetables that grow in the orchard, beds and polytunnels and love to show guests their horticultural interests.

If you can pull yourself away from the tranquil sanctuary of The Barn, then a short drive leads to the market town of Pwllheli and a little further lie the bustling seaside resorts of Abersoch, Nefyn and Llanbedrog.

Reviews

The property is idyllic for a peaceful stay a true oasis of tranquility. It is very well maintained and offers everything required for comfort and local amenities for a stress free break The owners couldn’t have been more welcoming and gave us tips for visiting the area It’s a well deserved 5 star thumbs up from us

Mr M,

We loved staying at The Barn, it's a beautiful location which is handy for local shops and there's so much to do in the area. The accommodation was very clean and comfortable with excellent facilities and we loved the terrace area and looking around the smallholding. Best of all though was the company - you couldn't wish for better hosts than Suzanne and Simon. Thank you so much for your kindness and hospitality!

Ms A,

Peaceful and friendly place to stay and explore north wales.

Mrs F,

The owners Simon & Suzanne who live on site are very welcoming and have a good knowledge of the local area and nothing seems to be too much trouble for them. Very quiet, rural location, with excellent views over the surrounding countryside. "The Barn" is well positioned for exploring the Llyn Peninsula and surrounding area.

Mrs W,

The barn was excellent everything we needed Suzanne and Simon were extremely friendly and helpful.

Mr S,

As others have highlighted, a beautifully decorated, spacious and comfy property. We received a warm welcome on arrival and plenty of useful information about The Barn, local amenities and suggestions of places to eat/visit were sent ahead of our stay. Simon & Suzanne were also on hand to provide further advice as required. A very enjoyable week. For those happy to head further afield, we can recommend Caernarfon Castle, Anglesey Island and a ride on the Ffestiniog & Welsh Highland Railways.

Miss S,

An excellent cottage far away from the crowds. Peaceful with bird song for company.

Mr W,

The barn was perfect, cosy , warm, quiet and peaceful. The hosts where brilliant and nothing was to much trouble.

Mr B,

We would definitely recommend the barn to others and stay there again. It was a brilliant week.

Miss J,

Fabulous location for a quiet and restful break. Extremely helpful and friendly hosts. The Barn is spacious and comfortable, we loved it

Mr C,

An ideal property for 2 people in a quiet rural location. Great hosts who made us feel very welcome and were a good source of local information.

Mr Y,

This property is ideal for a couple who like a quiet location but which is within a short car journey from various small towns. The very friendly owners did everything possible to make our stay a memorable one - including providing little extras - home grown tomatoes, plums and apple juice. They live in the adjacent farm house and are always at hand to provide help or advice. The Barn is comfortable and cosy and I thoroughly enjoyed my stay.

Mrs O,

The Barn is an ideal holiday accommodation: very clean, very comfortable, and in an ideal location - just a short drive from Pwllheli. The owners, Simon and Suzanne, live next door and are very friendly; however, they do leave you to your own devices to enjoy your holiday in your own way. The Barn is highly recommended.

Mr Richard H,
