Reviews

Pretty, cosy and very well equipped cottage with everything you could need for a lovely getaway. The welcome snacks were much appreciated and Heather and James provide a great guide to the local village and trips further afield. By far the highlight for me and my dog were the beautiful grounds, just stunning especially in the Autumn! Plus an enclosed garden just for the cottage and footpaths to follow right from the property. Highly recommended and I’d definitely visit again!

Miss A,

We liked the garden it was very secure for our dogs,it is in a good location for places to visit, the property was very clean.

Mrs H,

It was a great stay at the cottage. The area is lovely and the yard is beautiful. The boys had a blast paying soccer is the yard. We enjoyed the walk into the town. It is about 30 -40 minutes over fields. Nearby is a cute castle you can visit. You can even go there by boat. The owners of the apartment are very kind and very helpful. Whenever you have a question they have an answer.

Mrs T,

Lovely accommodation in a great spot for exploring East Sussex and Kent. The grounds are beautiful too, very relaxing at the end of a busy day exploring and a short walk across the fields to a lovely local pub for food and local ales.

Mrs D,

An ideal location for exploring Kent and Sussex. We had a very comfortable stay and excellent hosts.

Mr G,

We enjoyed our stay. The enclosed garden was perfect for our dogs and the cottages was very charming.

Mrs K,

A lovely location in a lovely part of the country, although noise from the road can be heard. The cottage is warm and full of rustic charm. The small pretty garden is very private and full of wild birds, but the ground are even more beautiful especially at the lake, which can be seen from the cottage. Loads of places nearby to see and things to do. A very enjoyable holiday.

Mr T,

I had an amazing time. I went away for a quiet break just for a couple of days. I have a very busy work world in the NHS and felt I needed to get away. I didn’t feel the need for rushing about the countryside. The byre was lovely. Welcoming, clean, well equipped with instructions for using log burner but also central heating if, like me, you’re not familiar or brave with a log burner. The bed was so comfortable too. Equipment was lovely and clean too. Very cosy. The hosts although I didn’t meet them personally were wonderful and messaged back when I’d messaged. They checked everything was fine. I sensed if there had have been an issue they would have sorted it. I hope to go back and take husband and dogs next time. There’s a lake for fishing on site. There are many places to visit in and around the area although I stayed put. Thank you so much for a lovely stay

Mrs F,

Heather and James were welcoming and helpful. The cottage was very dog friendly and our dog had great fun. A very relaxing week.
