Description

Breconview Lodge is a superb newly built detached lodge cottage in the village of Coelbren, on the edge of the Brecon Beacons National Park, just half a mile from the local pub and a mile from the famous Henrhyd Falls of film and TV fame (The Dark Knight Rises, Batman’s Bat Cave and soon to be featured in Game of Thrones). Excellent local walking, other waterfalls and a host of attractions nearby.

Cedar Wood clad and benefitting from a private hot tub on the decking to the rear, the lodge has been built to high specifications. There is central heating throughout and WiFi available. The accommodation comprises:

Entrance Hall: with staircase to the first floor, understairs storage, console table

Shower Room: with large shower enclosure (low step in), WC, basin, extractor fan

Living Room/Kitchen: a large, L-shaped open-plan room; excellent fitted kitchen, well equipped (including cafetiere, filter coffee machine, toasted sandwich maker, large health grill and a large slow cooker) with electric cooker (double oven and ceramic hob), extractor hood, American-style fridge freezer, microwave, dishwasher, island unit with breakfast bar and three stools; dining table with eight chairs; lounge area with 5-seater leather corner sofa and 3-seater leather sofa (both with manual recliners at each end), electric flame-effect stove, large Smart TV with Sky Q and HD Sky cinema channels, Amazon Fire Stick, Amazon Echo, WiFi; Xbox with games and Wii with games; small pool table; patio doors to rear decking

Utility Room: with washer/dryer and ample storage space, room for pet bowls etc

This is obviously an excellent location for walkers, with miles of the Brecon Beacons footpaths and waterfalls to explore, virtually from the door, but also ideal for those seeking a relaxing, pampering break! Take a trip to the bright lights of the city, with Swansea just 20 miles away, and the long, sandy beach at Port Talbot is less than 25 miles.

Coelbren is a peaceful and tranquil rural village, so we ask for quiet after 11pm.

Electricity, central heating and WiFi included

Bed linen, towels and hot tub towels provided

Welcome Basket and guest toiletries included

Reviews

I would highly recommend this property it’s very clean comfortable and the owners are very friendly.

Mrs W,

I can't speak highly enough about the stunning surroundings, beautiful lodge and the overall experience. The accommodation was comfortable, and the amenities were top notch. Great location - Lots of things to do locally. The owners left a variety of foods (bread, Welsh cakes, Bara Brith, tea bags, milk, butter, dog food and dog treats) to see us through the first night. The hot tub was absolutely wonderful! The pool table was also a hit! I would definitely recommend this lodge.

Mrs P,

Cottage in a good location for exploring and not too far from lovely coastlines. Hot tub was a great hit especially with the grandchildren. We all enjoyed our stay.

Mrs W,

Absolutely beautiful property, has everything you need and in a fantastic location. We would happily book again in future

Miss C,

We had an amazing time for my mums 50th birthday and our group included a 1 year old and a 79 year old. We all enjoyed the facilities, location, hot tub and games. Definitely going to be booking again for sure. Also as a side note, the welcome package was a really nice surprise and something you don’t always get on a weekend away!

Mr R,

Lovely house with all the basics you need. Perfect location to enjoy this part of the Welsh countryside.

Mr H,

We had a lovely stay at Breconview Lodge and it really was a home from home which we really appreciated as it meant we didn’t need to worry about bringing everything! Nice little touches with the welcome pack for us and the dog!

Mrs N,

Generally the cottage was lovely and well equipped. Very spacious with comfortable seating. The TV’s were a good size and the fact that they had sky etc was a bonus. The pool table was a nice addition and the hot tub was great. Also the barbecue on the decking was a high standard. Although the kitchen was well equipped it was missing a bread knife, however I am sure had we contacted the owner they would have bought one round for us. We had a very nice week in a generally well appointed and situated lodge

Mr B,

Lovely property. So much to do there which was great since we had rubbish weather! Beautiful location. Very handy local shop in the village too. Some fab restaurant recommendations in the welcome pack. Would highly recommend.

Mrs T,

Such a lovely get away I highly recommend to anyone. Its such a beautiful place, easy to find, gorgeous views and a lot to do on your doorstep! Very grateful that we found such an accommodating place, cant thank them enough!

Miss H,

A fantastic stay at this cottage over New Year! Plenty of room for two families and plenty to keep you occupied in and out of the cottage. Easy to get too and find. Great if you really enjoy your walking.

Miss F,

Just back from a wonderful week at Brecon view Lodge the lodge was fabulous very well equipped and very comfortable. The owners were very helpful and friendly and even better was his rump steaks!

Mrs L,

We had a lovely stay in Breconview Lodge . It was well positioned for visiting the many waterfalls. We enjoyed the gorgeous hot tub and dined off the barbecue.

Mrs T,

Lodge was great, location was excellent loads of things to do right on the door step.
