Description

This bespoke luxury cabin is nestled in a valley with stunning views across to Blencathra. It sits on a working farm with direct access to the Threlkeld to Keswick old railway line, a 3-mile-long footpath and cycleway. You can head for Threlkeld village (1 mile) and enjoy a drink and pub lunch or head into Keswick (4 miles), take in a show at Theatre on the Lake or go down to Derwentwater (7 miles). Take the regular launch service across the lake, hop on and off to explore the various landing stages, including the waterfall at Lodore (8 miles), the much-photographed Ashness Bridge (8 miles) and the walled garden that inspired Beatrix Potter at Lingholm (7 miles).

As you walk up to this wooden cabin, the location will leave you breathless and you can’t help but feel the love that has gone into building this cabin; every little detail has been carefully thought out. The open-plan bedroom with a king-size bed, Egyptian cotton sheets and embroidered robes offer you a touch of luxury. The bed looks towards the floor-to-ceiling bi-folding doors which have the most magnificent views across Hellvelyn and Blencathra. There are comfy seats at the end of the bed to curl up and read a good book, play a game of cards and enjoy a glass of wine! The wet room is located at the rear of the cabin and has a feature slate wall and a rainfall shower. There is a small kitchen area which is ideal to prepare breakfast or a light bite, but the village pubs in the area serve great food so you may prefer to venture out on an evening.

Step down from the cabin out onto your private patio with seating, fire pit/BBQ and a wood-fired hot tub. This truly is a special place to sit quietly in the evening and enjoy the dark skies and star gazing with a glass of bubbly.

My girlfriend and I recently had a fantastic stay. You could tell it was a very new lodge, everything was pristine! The bed was super comfy and the view out of the full width bifold doors in the morning was incredible. The host family couldn't be more helpful yet gave us our privacy. Thank you so much for hosting our stay in your little slice of paradise! We had the most spectacular first trip to the lake district and are already keen to look to return soon. The facilities were beautifully maintained and clean. It was such a delight to wake up to the idyllic hillside views, the sheep and farm dogs. Even with last weekends gloomy weather we could not have felt kore cosy and well looked over, especially with the generous store of logs provided for the hot tub!

Wow. My partner and I have just returned from a well needed getaway. If you are in need of an escape to de-stress and relax, In the Vale is just the place. The beautiful scenery was stunning, the cabin was exceptionally clean and the hosts were visible and around if ever you needed any extra assistance. There is a local town just 8 minutes away to get food supplies and other necessities you may need. We cannot wait to book in again, thank you so much!

Amazing experience, spectacular views. Accommodation was very modern and spotlessly clean with most our needs taken care of and absolutely ideal for a couple to relax. The owner was there to greet us and gave loads of local information as it as it was our 1st time at the lakes and was just a phone call away if we needed her, which was handy when a sheep broke loose and ended up outside our cabin, within minutes someone was round with the dog shepherding it back. Yes we was on a farm and it was supa.
