Reviews

Really lovely house so comfy, very well equipped & so cosy, amazing comfy beds & great kitchen/diner. Amazing views from beautiful enclosed well maintained flat garden. We can recommend this “Pidgeon Nest”. Next time we will stay for 2 weeks plus you must visit Budleigh Salterton the pebbles are awesome & Branscombe throughly enjoyed our holiday

Mrs R,

Lovely cottage in a great position.

Mr C,

Great location with amazing food at the pub just next door. Short walk into Seaton with a big Tesco.

Mrs E,

We had a really lovely stay in Axmouth. The weather was beautiful, and the accommodation was more than adequate for 4 people and 3 dogs. The Ship Inn does some lovely food, with some good surrounding walks. Seaton and Lyme Regis aren't very far away so we made the most of the lovely weather and spent some time there, with our afternoons mostly spent in the back garden at the property topping up our tans. The dogs had a great time too.

Miss J,

Lovely house, tastefully furnished. Could do with some attention in places. Location was spot on, great views, walks from the door and between 3 good pubs both serving great food. Walking distance to Seaton but quite a busy road to walk if you have children or a dog. There is a path but it's narrow and the traffic seemed fast. Ride the Seaton tram, it's a fun experience through some beautiful scenery

Mrs F,

A lovely house. Very clean and comfortable. I’m a fantastic location. We had a lovely time.

Mrs G,

Great start with milk, tea, coffee and selection of chocolate biscuits left to tempt us. Good location for walking in all directions with foot paths on the door step. Lovely big lawn area for our 3 dogs.Cooking was easy with facilities provide, visited 1 of the 2 very local pubs for a drink, food smelt lovely but ate at property. Found lounge chilly in the evening even with log burning stove. Heating is on a time/temperature control which I understand as property heated with propane which is super expensive. Needed to just wear extra layers.

Mrs M,

Overall a lovely stay, comfortable and spacious. Attention lacking in cleanliness to plastic seal on shower screen. Wobbly handle to frying pan, which we fixed. Otherwise well equipped with everything we needed. Large garden ,safe for dogs and children. Unfortunately we had a power cut , 1 to 11 pm. Would recommend you take torches/ lamp . Log burner was great. We called the owner the following day to reset heating and hot water , which he did. Location lovely . Two pubs in village. Could walk into Seaton, although main road busy and path narrow. Parking at house for two cars was difficult. We left one car on the drive and one in front of the gate recess. Would consider staying again .

Mrs W,

Very nice house with a good sized garden in a very good location near Seaton - we really enjoyed our stay.
