Reviews

Great place and great location. Love it !

Mrs T,

When we arrived so nice to have welcome goodies. The cottage was really cosy and was home from home. The location is perfect for both the seafront and the Byes park. The town centre is really nice with good independent shops. The highlight of our holiday was a day at the donkey sanctuary. Good idea to read the book about sanctuary in cottage before visit . Will Definately return. Parking was a bit of concern. But we purchased a permit for the week which was also useful in other car parks. A fantastic break thankyou .

Previous Customer,

We have just had a week in this lovely comfortable and very well equipped cottage. Also great location, quiet with no traffic but yet two minutes from sea front, shops and bars and restaurants. The added bonus was a week full of warm sunshine every single day. Well recommended.

Mr B,

We stayed at Glenisla for a week as a group of six adults and 1 dog. The accommodation was just what we required and was very clean and tidy. We managed very well even with just the one shower. Having sinks in all the bedrooms and 2 separate toilets worked very well. The beds were comfortable. We booked towels and linen and all the beds were made up on our arrival. The kitchen was stocked with everything you could possibly need. The living space was comfortable and the Wi-Fi pleased the younger adults in our group. Communication between the company was excellent. Glenisla is only a few minutes walk from the seafront and shops which can provide you anything you might have forgotten. We were very lucky with the weather and we were able to do lots of walking and swimming in the sea. We would certainly choose the accommodation again.

Mrs D,

This house could not be bettered for being quiet, yet very close to both the sea and the shops and amenities of the High Street. Having vanity units in each bedroom and 2 toilets make it ideal for a mixed party as well as for a family group. This was my 25th booking for this house, and I am already looking forward to next year's visit.

Miss B,

Glenisla is a lovely spacious home and perfect accommodation for a holiday in Sidmouth. The rooms are generously sized and the back yard ideal for sitting out. Being set back in private gardens is lovely. Stepping out on to the ham is perfect for dog owners. And it's all a short stroll to the seafront, shops, tourist information centre & all amenities. We recommend visiting the sidmouth trawler for fresh fish & seafood. We highly recommend Glenisla & hope to stay again

Miss R,

We wife, myself, and our 8 year old cockapoo recently returned from a lovely week at Glenislea. The location is fantastic: 50m to a park, where people were having picnics and barbecues (and perfect for that early morning or late evening walk with the dog). The park includes a securely fenced play area - ideal if you have children. 100m to the seafront promenade, just by the lifeboat station, and also 100m to the local independent shops, pubs, and cafes. Sidmouth has the added bonus that it is still bustling, even out of season. The house is is secluded, and set back, but still has views of the park, play area, and sea views. It is spacious, with a large lounge and diner on the ground floor, together with a kitchen and downstairs WC. The first floor has a large double bedroom at the front, a separate twin room, shower room, and separate WC. Whilst the 2nd floor has another double bedroom. There is a small private, and tidy courtyard to the rear. The beds are very comfortable! As each day went by, we became more and more relaxed, and it was great to dump the cars at the end of each day, in the local car park (20m away), and dine out in one of the many nearby pubs and restaurants. Most of the pubs, cafes, and shops in Sidmouth are dog friendly too, which was a bonus for us. I do recommend purchasing an e-permit for parking in the local car parks (£25 for 7 days), which is also valid in all East Devon council car parks, so handy if venturing further afield. We would happily recommend Glenislea to friends and family, if they were considering a break in this lovely part of East Devon.

Mr F,

We had a very enjoyable stay, hopefully we'll return soon. Thank you.
