Description

This spacious detached bungalow is surrounded by its own mature garden and south-facing decking just a few minutes’ walk away from the centre of Croyde in one direction and the beach in the other. The Reeds enjoys panoramic views across the village to the dunes and the sea beyond, has sun loungers on the decking, a warm outside shower and a secure storage shed for surf boards. Inside the bungalow, the living room has a solid oak floor and a modern fireplace with sofas surrounding it. The well-equipped kitchen/diner has a Travertine tiled floor making it perfect for your four-legged friend to dry off after a day on the beach. All three bedrooms are beautifully decorated with the master bedroom enjoying an en-suite shower room. The other two bedrooms share the use of the family bathroom which has a separate shower cubicle. There is also a useful toilet off the main hallway. Outside, the garden is great for enjoying the outdoor life on a balmy summer’s evening. The Reeds is perfect for families wanting to be close to the beach, yet stay in a quiet location. Croyde beach is rated as one of the best surfing beaches in the world. There is an RNLI Lifeguard service available every day from May to September, during the Easter weekend, every weekend in October and during the October half term. If you like rock pooling, head to each end of the beach. And for walkers, there are several footpaths around the village and up to Baggy Point where you’ll be rewarded with an amazing view. This whole area is a designated Site of Special Scientific Interest for its geological features. Croyde has plenty of places to hire wet suits, surf boards, canoes and fishing equipment.

We absolutely loved staying at The Reeds, it was in the perfect location with excellent views. We had wonderful weather so it was a joy to enjoy both indoors and outdoors. We loved the decking area and enjoyed the use of the sun loungers. Overall I’d give this property 10/10 and would highly recommend.

Beautiful cottage and extremely well equipped. The location is fabulous as you can walk to Croyde village and also to Croyde and Putsborough beaches. The provision of a a parking pass for Putsborough beach by the owners is a real bonus. It is also a great property for holidaying with a dog as it is spacious, all on one level and with hard flooring throughout.

Lovely bungalow with outside warm shower which is lovely to rinse your wetsuit. Equi-distant from beach and restaurants. Great parking and enclosed garden. We park up for the week and walk everywhere.

We really enjoyed our stay at The Reeds. Excellent property and location. Welcome pack was a wonderful surprise and very enjoyable. Bed (only used master bedroom) was very comfortable and en-suite bathroom was lovely. Having a prepaid parking voucher for Putscombe beach was a big plus. We look forward to returning very soon.

The Reeds is a wonderful, bright, spacious well-equipped property in a brilliant location. The views from the front of the property are absolutely stunning, and the hot outdoor shower was a brilliant perk after sandy days on the beach! We would thoroughly recommend.
