Description

Jasmine Cottage is a beautiful, quaint hideaway situated in Brixham’s harbour bowl. The Cottage enjoys the unusual proximity of only 42 steps up from the bustle of the harbour whilst still benefiting from its peaceful surroundings in a mews position. The cottage has everything you need for a romantic, cosy stay boasting three outdoor spaces, perfect for a glass of wine in the evening, a balcony on the top floor overlooking the harbour and courtyards to the front and rear of the property. 

Brixham is a beautiful town famous for being one of the busiest fishing ports in the UK. I has the largest fish market in England, supplying the local eateries with over 40 different species of fish. The market attracts buyers from all around the UK and Europe due to Brixham’s unmatched reputation for landing high quality fresh fish and shellfish. Brixham crab is considered the best in the world! 

The town itself boasts an eclectic mix of award winning restaurants, cafes, quaint independent shops, live music and even a cocktail bar. Shoalstone seawater swimming pool is the English Riviera’s only open air 50m sea water swimming pool.
The picturesque coastal walks are all within a short distance from the house. Look out for dolphins and seals that frequent the bay!. Steps from the cottage will bring you to the centre of Brixham where you can also enjoy a tour of the Golden Hind.

In the months of May through to November why not attend one of the many events and festivals in the area like the Brixham Pirate Festival, England's Seafood Feast, Lanterns, lights & 'luminations, Dartmouth Music Festival, Dartmouth Royal Regatta, Dartmouth Food Festival, Torbay Air Show, Teignmouth Air show, Devon County Show.

Outside Space Jasmine Cottage has a courtyard at the front of the property, at the rear of the property there is a second courtyard with table and chairs provided, perfect for your evening meal and a glass of wine. On the second floor from the living room you can access the balcony, this balcony overlooks the harbour and gets the afternoon sun. 

Parking  Please be aware there is no vehicle access to the property. A private parking space is provided for Jasmine Cottage along Southern Quay, a short walk from the property. You can unload near the property before you park.

Security Deposit: This property has a refundable Accidental Damage Deposit of £150, which is payable with the final balance of your holiday, eight weeks prior to your arrival, and is refunded within 5 working days of your departure. Alternatively, you may wish to pay a non-refundable Accidental Damage Deposit Waiver equivalent to 10% of the Accidental Damage Deposit value, which covers you for the full value of the Accidental Damage Deposit, should any damage occur during your stay.

Lovely little base for us to explore brixham. Perfect for a couple, we also had our 1 year old with us but mostly just slept in the cottage as we had family nearby. Beautiful views! The stairs are steep and narrow but not an issue for us.

Would definitely recommend this cottage for the lovely view's and being so near to the harbour where there are plenty of good bars and restaurants to eat in. Jasmine cottage is a beautiful, well equipped, and perfectly located cottage to explore the English riviera. We didn't use the car as the public transport from Brixham bus station is very, very good. If we were to consider Brixham again we would be looking out for this cottage.

We have been staying at Jasmine Cottage in Brixham for over ten years now, and have thoroughly enjoyed every visit. The cottage is clean and cosy and well equipped, and one of the best holiday cottages we have visited. It has great views over the harbour and marina, and is superbly located in a central position near the harbour, with all the shops, pubs and restaurants within a very short walking distance. Both long and short stay car parks are located close by. We very much look forward to our trips to Brixham and would not consider staying anywhere else. We have no hesitation in recommending it.

Jasmine Cottage We have found a little Jem of a holiday cottage. My wife and I stayed there in September 2017 and absolutely loved it, very clean and welcoming it's a home from home the views of Brixham harbour from the cottage are a delight. Great location for exploring what Devon has to offer. Really good restaurants and bars close by. We can't wait to return staying for two weeks this summer .
