Description

Surrounded by beautiful, rolling Devon countryside, community woodland with the added luxury of a shared indoor heated swimming pool. Dart Cottage, a semi-detached barn conversion, less than one mile from the tranquil village of Broadhempston and just under six miles from Totnes and all its delights. Broadhempston has two traditional village pubs and a village store. The property features three bedrooms, sleeping six and excellent living space on the ground floor. A perfect stay for families and friends in search of a relaxing holiday in beautiful countryside, and a car ride away from the stunning coastal areas of South Devon.

Upon entering the cottage, through the large oak french doors, into the spacious kitchen/dining room, you're instantly wowed by the circular staircase, leading up to the first floor. Follow around the circular wall, steps lead down to the comfortable living room. The room benefits from a good-sized woodburner and large corner sofa and separate two seater sofa, a wonderful way to relax and unwind in front of the fire, after an adventurous day exploring the many delights the South Hams has to offer. The Master bedroom and en-suite shower-room, with two further bedrooms and family bathroom are located on the first floor. At the front of the cottage, enjoy your own gravelled terrace with outdoor dining furniture, overlooking the shared courtyard. 

Dart Cottage is one of four cottages, all beautifully renovated barns. The cottages have shared use of an indoor heated swimming pool (10mx5m), changing facilities and the added luxury of a sunken hot tub outside on the veranda - where you get to take in some of the gorgeous scenery which surrounds this very quiet hamlet of houses. There is also 4 acres of orchard to explore, plus beautifully maintained gardens, cared for by the very friendly owners. Sit amongst the gardens and enjoy the scents and sounds of the lavender and honey bee's busy working.

The cottages are perfectly situated between Dartmoor National Park and the stunning South Devon Coastline. It will be hard to resist exploring all of the nearby attractions, towns and walks.Nearby Ashburton, only 5 miles away and the famous Riverford Field Kitchen is just over 10 minutes in the car. For those who love a day on the beach, Torquay and it's many seaside attractions is only 10 miles or the famous, Blackpool Sands is 20 miles away. Not forgetting, Dartmouth, an beautiful town which sits on the banks of the River Dart, enriched in maritime history with an abundance of art galleries, boutique shops and eateries to enjoy.

Security Deposit: This property has a refundable Accidental Damage Deposit of £250, which is payable  with the final balance of your holiday, eight weeks prior to your arrival, and is refunded within 5 working days of your departure. Alternatively, you may wish to pay a non-refundable Accidental Damage Deposit Waiver equivalent to 10% of the Accidental Damage Deposit value, which covers you for the full value of the Accidental Damage Deposit, should any damage occur during your stay.

The Pool and Hot-Tub facilities are available at selected times throughout the day. Each cottage is allocated a number of times for exclusive use

Wow what a place, it takes some getting to through tight country lanes but is it worth it? Oh yes with bells on!! The grounds are beautiful, the cottages are beautiful, the pool is perfect, and our hosts were great friendly, helpful, and very accommodating.

Very well equipped, comfortable and spacious cottage with additional outside dining seating/bbq. Lovely touch greeted with some small initial supplies and fresh scones/ homemade jam. Excellent on site facilities with use of pool/ jacuzzi. Owners on hand check in regularly to ensure all is well. Well situated to explore the area around. Just be mindful that drivers might find the very narrow, high hedged minor roadways around cottage area nerveracking initially. Would recommend following owners access recommendations when arriving rather than sat nav.
