Description

Drum House is a beautifully designed property spanning four floors in the seaside town of Dartmouth. Drum House has a large open plan kitchen and dining area on the ground floor, the perfect social space during dinner time. A substantial lounge on the first floor with a plush comfy corner seater sofa and free standing chair, great for a cosy evening in watching a good film lounging in front of the gas fire. The second and third floors house the bedrooms and bathrooms catering for a full group of six people, with one ensuite in the master bedroom, separate shower room and separate family bathroom. Drum House is located on a street set back from the main town centre, the property is less than 200 yards away from the shops, restaurants and cafes and is a level walk too!

Bedroom 2 Double (4'6") Bed, two bedside cabinets with lamps, a built in wardrobe, shelf with wall mounted mirror and wooden stool. 

Bedroom 3 Twin Room (3') singles, wooden clothes rail, bedside cabinet with lamp and wall mounted mirror. 

Third Floor (Attic Room)

Master Bedroom Double (4'6") Bed, two bedside cabinets with lamps, built in wardrobe, velux windows with black out blinds, full length mirror and freestanding chair and wall mounted Smart TV/DVD Combi. Ensuite Walk in Electric Shower, w.c., hand basin. 

Parking: Annual ticket provided for town car park (this works on a first come first serve basis). Please note: during Regatta week/s the Town Car Park is closed but the parking permit is valid in the Park & Ride at the top of Dartmouth opposite Sainsburys. 

Security Deposit: This property has a refundable Accidental Damage Deposit of £250, which is payable to Original Cottages with the final balance of your holiday, eight weeks prior to your arrival, and is refunded within 5 working days of your departure. Alternatively, you may wish to pay a non-refundable Accidental Damage Deposit Waiver equivalent to 10% of the Accidental Damage Deposit value, which covers you for the full value of the Accidental Damage Deposit, should any damage occur during your stay.

Power and Heat: Gas and Electricity included in rent. Gas fire in Lounge. 

Shop: 0.1 ml  Pub: Roughly 200 yards (The Dolphin Inn) 

Bedding and Linen: Bed linen and towels are provided (Please bring your own beach towels). 

Notes - No Smoking.  Please be aware this property is set over 4 floors therefore, we feel this property is not suitable for infants or toddlers. Baby friendly equipment is not supplied for the above reason.

Great location and comfortable house in centre of Dartmouth

for us the location was perfect as my wjfe walks with a stick, so being able to reach the town easily was a magor advantage

Be aware it’s 4 floors overall…..first floor shower room not fit for purpose. First floor bedrooms really small. A quirky cottage needing overall redecoration but on the whole everything on “your doorstep” when you step outside is an added bonus.

The break was for my 70th birthday. We had the en-suite bedroom on the 3rd floor. Would definitely come back.

We had a very enjoyable short break over New Years. The location of The Drum House was perfect and although parking was in the main car park that proved to be no issue as we were able to pull up outside the house for a few minutes to unload/load the car. If you are staying in the area you won’t move the car again annyway and the car parking pass is a good money saver.
