Description

Nestled in the historical seaside town of Teignmouth is this spacious Grade II listed holiday home. Perfect for families, generations, friends, milestone celebrations, walkers and seascape/landscape artists. If you are a lover of the sea it is also a fabulous location to enjoy kayaking, paddle boarding, swimming, boating and fishing

The location of the property offers the guests the best of both worlds, it is within walking distance of the local amenities that Teignmouth has to offer yet has a degree of separation from all the hustle and bustle of the town for you to chill out and put your feet up after a busy day. Soak in the sights from the beautiful Teignmouth beach, with places to eat along the sea front which is 0.3 miles from the house. Teignmouth's 'back beach' offers a variety of places to have a drink whilst watching the sun go down. Stop off in town at a local café, bite to eat at one of the popular restaurants, visit the theatre, cinema and local shops which are all less than 0.2 miles walk from the house. Travel further afield over the bridge to Shaldon and for those little ones there is Shaldon Zoo only 2 miles drive from the house as well as so much more! Close to the South West Coastal Path and Dartmoor National Park for walking with the most fabulous coast and countryside views.

Why not attend one of the many events in the area like the Shaldon Regatta, Torbay Air Show, Devon County Show and there are many various local food and music festivals to enjoy.

As you enter the main communal building hallway there are some stairs up to the front door of the property and into the spacious property hallway. The hallway has a cute corner suitable for your dog bed during their holiday too. This hallway leads into the open plan living/dining and kitchen, a fantastic social hub for the whole family. The living area is arranged to seat the whole family with the feature fireplace as a focal point as well as the large Smart TV. The dining area has a black glass topped table with eight seats, perfect for those family gatherings. The kitchen is located to one side corner of the room, and is well equipped for a full house of guests. From the property hallway, head upstairs to the first two bedrooms. The first bedroom has a super-king zip n link bed that can be made into a twin on request. The second bedroom has a double bed with plenty of storage. The first of the two family bathrooms is location on the first floor with a bath and over head shower with WC and hand basin, there is also an additional room with a separate WC. Head up to the second floor of the property for the master bedroom with king-size bed, plenty of storage space, leather sofa and a Smart TV. The fourth bedroom has two single beds with bedside tables and lamps and wall mounted mirror. The second floor houses the second family bathroom with his and hers hand basins, WC and large walk in shower. There is also a compact kitchenette for those morning coffees in bed or on the family balcony.

This property comes with multiple outside spaces suitable for all guests. The first of outside spaces is through the French doors off the living space, this outside area has outside seating and houses the hot tub, which come rain or shine is available for your stay! The second of outside spaces is off the back door from the kitchen, seat the whole family for some alfresco dining on a summers evening on the rattan furniture provided. The third space is an Astroturf balcony accessed from the landing on the first floor, this balcony is not suitable for young children and is also accessed via a metal staircase from the outside space accessed via the living room.

The whole family enjoyed our week stay at harbour lodge. The property is in a great location and has everything one needs for a very comfortable stay. Teignmouth is a great location we lots to do in town and the surrounding area. Good train service to Exeter and Topsham. Thoroughly enjoyed the steam rail trip from Paignton to Kingswear and ferry to Dartmouth and Dart river cruise.
