Reviews

Nice cottage in a good location with lovely views and many things to see in the area. Lovely walking in the area too. Bed and sofa comfortable. It is a shame there are no blinds or curtains downstairs, this makes you feel like living in a shop window in the evenings. This is something that can easily be remedied...

Ms J,

A great location, perfect area on the plain to give the dogs a run. Lovely cottage and great to see photos of the renovations.

Mrs H,

Absolutely delightful period cottage that has been restored and modernised sympathetically and stylistically Great location and local amenities

Mr W,

Excellent home from home, we enjoyed our stay immensely, equipped with everything you need including full size fridge freezer. Managing agents extremely helpful. We intend booking again. Gordon & Pat Cain, Feb 2025

Mr C,

We had a lovely and restful stay. The cottage is in a lovely position and watching the weather was amazing and beautiful at times. The beds could benefit from some mattress toppers, but otherwise very comfortable. A great place for exploring the area from.

Ms N,

Had a great time, the house is in a great position, clean and comfortable. Parking was a struggle outside the property, but there is plenty of parking near by. The Meadfoot beach cafe was great. The costal walks were fabulous. Take shampoo, shower gel etc.

Mrs R,

nice front patio with a beautiful view

Mr J,

Fabulous week in a beautiful peaceful cottage! A real home from home, was super comfortable for us as a family and we will definitely return. Having the field and sea view out the front door is a real bonus, especially with young children and dogs!

Mrs F,

Just perfect in every way possible!

Mrs G,

We had a lovely stay in this beautifully presented cottage which was comfortable and well equipped with a stunning view. A fabulous base to explore the area with a lovely plain on the doorstep which was perfect for our dog and with a breathtaking coastal decent down to the harbour. Friendly neighbours and met some lovely locals .We couldn’t fault it and would definitely love to stay here again…rather sad to leave really ☹️

Miss M,

Beautifully renovated cottage. It is well maintained and had everything we needed for a really relaxing holiday. The location is excellent, views of the bay from the patio. Lovely beach and cafe close by in one direction and town centre just a 15 minute walk in the other. Dogs enjoyed meeting new friends every day on Daddyhole Plain!

Mrs B,

The cottage was very clean well equipped and a nice welcome pack for us. It’s so quiet and peaceful at night. Nice not to get woken up by anything. Very comfortable beds and nice bathroom. It is at the top of a large hill. So you need to be able to walk well.

Mrs A,

This is a lovely completely renovated cottage in a quiet location in Torquay close to nice walks and a fab beach (& cafe) at Meadfoot. It has a very comfortable lounge and lovely terrace. The parking is a little bit tight out the front - that said there’s lots of parking just round the corner. Worth noting that there is no upstairs loo just in case that is important to guests.

Mrs M,

Amazing loved it all. Location so relaxing will definatley be back. Neighbours lovely everyone so nice and welcoming.

Miss C,

Very well equipped. Great view. Would definitely come again

Mrs G,

Excellent location in the heart of Daddyhole plain and a 15 min walk into town. Brilliant renovation of the old coastguard cottages. Private parking available for one car in a narrow road but plenty of parking in nearby roads for a second car if required.

Mr B,

Lovely property very well appointed.

Mr A,

We loved this property for an Autumn break. Great location to watch the storm and the sunshine. Double glazing meant an old cottage was super cosy. Loved the colour scheme and the big table leading into the lounge. Loved walking to Meadfoot..Great for dogs and a very good price in October half term hols.
