Reviews

Good location but some aspects of the property need attention.

Mrs P,

A lovely little cottage, ideal for our short break. In need of a refresh though. Would stay again

Mrs P,

This property is in an excellent location in Torquay and should be a fabulous stay. Unfortunately the presentation is not up to the required standard and is overpriced.

Mr S,

Mrs T,

This was a really lovely cottage that was kept clean with comfortable beds. We really liked how spacious the house felt. It was really close to a pebble beach and cafe. The kitchen was well equipped and had no problem cooking meals. There were a few niggles with the internet and TV but these didn’t spoil our stay.

Mrs B,

Beautiful comfortable mews house in a good location. Lounge and bedrooms beautifully furnished and we had a lovely stay

Mr B,

Beautiful cottage, everything we needed and dog friendly. The house is decorated to a high standard, Spotlessly clean, the bed was comfortable, kitchen had everything you could need and a small enclosure garden for dog to use. A nice welcome pack that was well appreciated, thank you Just a short walk to the beach, the beach has a lovely cafe and we enjoyed breakfast rolls while watching the sea, between 1st of May to September the beach area in front of the cafe has a no dog policy, but if you walk along the sea wall to the other end dogs are allowed all year round. The road the cottage is in, you can do a nice circular walk. Walk to the top of the road, there is a woodland walk, if you follow the paths to the other side of the wood, There is a large field for them to enjoy off lead, then down to the dog friendly beach area then along the sea wall back to the cottage . You can also cross the road from the cottage follow the signs to daddyhole, there is a nice grassy area for dogs then you can walk the coastal path into Torquay, there it are a few steps going down along the path, and i would keep dogs on lead, but its worth it for the views the path comes out near the harbour cafes. So plenty of choices for a cuppa or stronger beverage. We then walked along the harbour through the town and walked back to the cottage along meadfoot road . We also visited the model Village, a few national trust House and Gardens, dogs welcome in the garden, they enjoy the dog biscuits treats given then by staff. I can highly recommend Cockington a beautiful country park, with walks around the lakes and a lovely garden in the pub to enjoy a meal or drink I would highly recommend Beach Mews cottage, so much to do in the area ,Hubby never had to drive longer than 30mins to get to place's, we hope to visit again soon

Mrs H,
