Description
Stay in a homely two-storey seaside cottage with harbour views in the cosmopolitan Devonshire town of Torquay. Soak up the sunshine with your group of friends or family with a bottle of bubbly on the terrace while admiring the views before wandering into the vibrant centre of the town where you’ll find cocktail bars, seafood restaurants and plenty of opportunities for some retail therapy. Benefit from having a harbour, beach and numerous attractions on your doorstep.
Enter the property through the hallway with a WC, which leads to the open-plan kitchen/diner *Brand new kitchen installed September 2024 *. This space is bright and airy with a good-sized kitchen to one side of the room and a dining table, sofa, and doors to the terrace with seating on the other. Upstairs is the living area, where you’ll find comfortable sofas, a gas fire, a TV and doors out to a balcony. There is also an en-suite bathroom and three bedrooms – a double with an en-suite, a twin with an en-suite and a bunk bedroom.
This property is located next to the harbour (less than 0.5 miles), where you can choose from a fabulous array of restaurants and pubs. Spend your time away exploring the attractions on your doorstep, including a theatre, bowling alley and dinosaur exhibition (within 0.5 miles). If you’re an adventure seeker, jump on a boat or jet ski from the harbour. For the history geeks, Torre Abbey (1.5 miles) is 800 years old, with 7 acres of gardens to explore. Even if you visited a new nearby beach every day for a week, you still won’t get to check them all out. The best ones around are Torquay Beach (1 mile) because of how close it is, Meadfoot (1 mile) for its surf, and Maidencombe (4.5 miles) if you want somewhere secluded.
