Reviews

Another wonderful stay at The Haven. The flat is very much a home from home for us, not least due to Frances' care and attention to the property and our needs. Swanage is a delight at any time even in a grey, misty November.

Mr C,

Fantastic location, easy access to the town. Lovely balcony to watch the world go by

Mrs B,

The location and views are almost unbeatable and the beds are very comfortable. The apartment overall is well equipped in the kitchen and it is useful to have washing up liquid, washing tablets and tea towels already there. The apartment is a little dated and could do with some basic maintenance: toilet seat not the right size, toilet flush loose, scuffs on walls... The premium price is for the view and I'm not sure I'd pay that again.

Miss J,

The location of this property is fantastic with panoramic views over Swanage Harbour. The apartment was clean but the furniture could do with replacing with more modern pieces as befits an upmarket property.

Previous Customer,

This apartment is in an awful state and not worth the rental rate or the star rating from the company. Owing to the two en-suites venting any excess condensation not vented by the extractor fans into the bedrooms, both bedrooms are full of damp. All our clothes were damp all week and the smell is overpowering. There is black mould on the furnishings downstairs and black damp dust on the skirting boards. The bed has a very worn foam mattress (not memory foam) and rock hard pillows, neither of us slept well all week. The kitchen is falling apart, as is most of the furniture in the apartment, the sofas are heavily faded, fraying and covered in stains, like the carpets throughout the apartment. There are cheap and old appliances in the kitchen, the kettle was disgusting, toaster rusty, and a scrubbing brush that looked like a used toilet brush. Even the “clean” towels provided smelt of chip fat. Added to all these issues, the landlady (who lives upstairs) tried to convince us the apartment is fine as it’s in a functional state, and more concerned there might be a leak in the bathroom to fix before her friends arrived rather than the awful week we had staying in this disgusting apartment. Original cottages have failed to respond to my complaint.

Miss W,

Lovely accommodation. No problems with booking though felt a little impersonal.
