Description

A lovingly refurbished three bedroom apartment, benefitting from views of Durlston Country Park and the sea beyond. This first and second floor apartment has been recently updated with family holidays at the forefront, with three modern and comfortable bedrooms and three bathrooms there is an element of privacy for families holidaying together. The sitting room at the front of the apartment is full of light and features a period fireplace with electric optiflame 3D inset fire for winter evenings along with views of the chalky cliffs out to sea. Into the kitchen you will find a sociable and modern space, with large dining table, bench and chairs - the perfect place to enjoy a hearty breakfast before heading out for the day to explore the Purbecks!  

The property also benefits from a small courtyard garden and its own private garage parking.

2 Belvedere Lodge is ideally situated with something for everyone right on your doorstep. The sandy beach and town centre can be reached in a five minute walk, whilst straight opposite the property is a gate way leading onto Prince Albert Gardens and Durlston Country Park where you can join the South West Coast Path that takes you along the iconic Jurassic Coastline.

Kitchen & Dining Room: Overlooking courtyard at the rear of property, modern and well equipped with fridge/freezer, electric induction hob, electric oven, extractor hood, microwave, kettle, toaster, dishwasher and washing machine. Dining: Solid wood dining table with seating for 6 people.

Living Room: This room benefits from 2 large Georgian windows and is full of light. There are 2 couches and 2 comfortable chairs with scatter cushions. There is storage within built-in cupboards and a sideboard as well as the coffee table. The 55 inch Television has a Sonos Soundbar attached and benefits from Freeview as well as Netflix.

WiFi: WiFi included.

Hall: on Ground Floor with coat hooks and 6 collapsible chairs and tray table for taking into the park over the road.

Absolutely brilliant accommodation. Felt very homely and all the furnishings and items in the house are top quality. Yes, there is a bit of a short hill to the house but well worth it for the views of the pier, sea and Old Harry Rocks from the front room and front bedroom. There’s a large hatch connecting the lounge to the kitchen so if you are in the kitchen you still feel part of the lounge. Beds were so comfy and the showers were great! Close to everything you need in the town but on a quiet road that’s very peaceful. It is on the first and second floor so if you’re taking a dog, you will need to go out with them as there’s no direct access to outside but across a quiet road you’ve got immediate access to The Downs which is a popular dog walking area. We did a lot of walking and the Coast Path is a 2 minute walk from the house. Swanage was a welcoming town with nice pubs, cafes and restaurants. Walking the coast path and ridges was stunning. Couldn’t find fault with the property and would gladly return!

Overall we were quite happy with our stay at Belvedere Lodge - the location was very good and the rooms were definitely adequate; the 3 bathrooms/toilets were also very pleasant. We know Swanage very well from previous holidays and can therefore also describe the location as pretty good. The facilities were fine and everything we needed was available.
