Description

This traditionally furnished seaside retreat is the perfect bolthole for a romantic seaside getaway. This pet-friendly holiday home looks straight out to sea across a path and the wide shingle beach, offering unrivalled views to its guests. Located near Hampton Pier on the western side of Herne Bay, you can stroll along the seafront path to the centre of town (1.5 miles) to check out the shops, cinema, restaurants, theatre and water sports facilities. If you want to plan a day trip, the popular resort of Whitstable is 4 miles from the property, and the town of Margate, home of the famous ‘Turner Contemporary’, is 12 miles away.

There are several steps up to the holiday home. Once inside, all of the accommodation is set out on one level. This single-storey wooden holiday home was built in 1895, a property of character which retains many of its quaint original features. The comfortable sitting/dining room has a cosy sofa and a Smart TV, and the sash windows provide fantastic sea views. Double folding doors lead to the glazed veranda with a small table and chairs from which to take in the superb sea and sunset views. You can prepare tasty meals in the modern fitted kitchen and enjoy sociable meals at the dining table. This holiday home boasts a restful double bedroom and a contemporary shower room.

Outside, there is an enclosed and secluded rear patio area with garden furniture. At the front, there is a decked area with sea views.

This is a lovely cottage with a great view and access to the beach. It also has a an excellent, well-equipped kitchen and breakfast area, a delightful bedroom, an excellent bathroom with walk in shower, capacaious and new washing machine and dryer, and a great lounge. The front patio overlooks the beach and is a tea place to sit on a sunny day or to watch the sun go down. And if it’s wet, there is a great TV with satellite and internet services, and loads of good books and games. All in all, Iluka is a great place for a peaceful stay with all mod cons by the beach.

This is a very quiet, clean and comfortable holiday home with great sea views from the lounge. The town centre is close by with a good range of shops and the Hampton Inn serves good food and is only a short walk.

A beautiful, cottage in an amazing location. The cottage is a home from home, with 5 star facilities. The location is stunning, the colours in the morning sunrise are breath-taking, plenty of coastal walks, for both humans and their four legged friends.

Fantastic location on the beach. Cute little cottage with a modern clean interior. Views from the front windows were gorgeous and lovely walks with our v happy doggo as soon as you set foot out of the front gate.
