Reviews

Lovely location in a wonderful town, very central and easy access to everything, very recommendable

Dr P,

The Short House is a lovely, quirky house in a great location.

Mrs E,

Charming and comfortable cottage in a great location. Onsite parking was a bonus. Sandwich has an excellent selection of restaurants and bars and these were all within a few minutes walk from the cottage. Good bus service.

Mrs C,

A lovely historic house beautifully renovated by the friendly owners. Easy access to the centre of Sandwich which is wonderfully preserved. Everything needed for two with a very generous welcome pack. ( Bedroom rather special) One small point to note though. Because of the age of property there are different levels to negotiate which might cause a problem for people with mobility issues. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! Thankyou to Bill and Jill.

Mrs M,

Very comfortable characterful accommodation in an excellent location with welcoming and helpful hosts

Mr C,

We loved The Short House and Sandwich. Everything we needed was provided. Owners were lovely and could not have been more helpful.

Mrs W,

The Short House is a remarkable residence in a charming and peaceful town. It has been skilfully and tastefully renovated with lots of loving care and, so, redolent of its historic heritage. Furnishings and decoration are appropriate and of high quality and there is a delightful theme of Arcadia running through the sitting room and bedroom. The kitchen is modern and well-equipped and the bathroom is modern and chic. The Italianate garden, with fountain, pool, sculptures and planting, is wonderful. The owners are most welcoming and it has been a delight to stay at The Short House.

Mrs H,

The Short House has character in abundance, due to its history, with all the features of a modern property to make a very comfortable and memorable holiday visit. Secure parking much appreciated as was the welcome pack. Pleasure to meet the host who was particularly friendly without disturbing our privacy during the stay.

Mr F,

A wonderful opportunity to stay in a house so old and part of history. Very comfy bed, lovely shower, totally unique and beautiful garden. We found Sandwich was delightful, it was quiet yet so many cafes and pubs open that we ran out of days to try them all. Special mention to the ‘No name French Bistro’, fabulous cheese and coffee. The town ‘wall’ walk was so lovely we did in several days and there were lots of other walks provided at the house to try, which was very handy.

Mr R,

The property was well situated in the Old Town of sandwich, 10 minute walk to town center. The property was very quaint in keeping with the location. The owners were very friendly and helpful and the property was well maintained. We stayed for two weeks and found a lot of interesting places to visit all within an hours drive.
