Description

This lovely period cottage, situated in the conservation area of Whitstable, is ideally located close to the colourful harbour and beach which is gently shelving, making it ideal for families. Whitstable is a favourite coastal town with lots of atmosphere, making it a fantastic place to enjoy a seaside holiday. There is a large and varied choice of restaurants and cafes to suit everyone’s mood and is famous for its oysters, celebrated in July at the Oyster Festival. There is a long stretch of shingle beach from the working harbour to Seasalter, perfect for paddling and swimming. There are a variety of water sports to try including kayaking, paddle boarding and sailing and lots of coastal miles to cover. Try the Crab and Winkle Way or cycle along the coast to Herne Bay. Canterbury (8.4 miles) is a great day out with independent shopping and its world-famous Cathedral.

Step straight into the sitting room which is comfortably furnished with a large soft sofa, an armchair and a Smart TV, continue into the dining room and open plan kitchen which is light and airy, making this room the heart of the cottage with doors opening into an enclosed garden, perfect for children playing outside while the grown-ups chat and prepare dinner. The kitchen is fully equipped with a good range of appliances and has everything you need to prepare a tasty breakfast or a hearty evening meal. The family bathroom is located just off the kitchen. The stairs lead to the first floor with two king-size bedrooms with hanging space, a chest of drawers and mirrors and offer a haven for sleep after long days of activity. There is a small adjoining third bedroom which is accessed through the rear bedroom and has a single bed with a pull-out trundle bed, (trundle only suitable for one small child).

Outside there is a paved, enclosed garden with planted borders, garden furniture and a BBQ, perfect for alfresco dining and safe play for children.

Reviews

We booked this cottage at very last minute. I would certainly stay there again. Very clean and extremally comfortable beds. The only niggle is - no dishwasher!

Ms T,

Lovely place to stay, location could hardly be better

Mr W,

The cottage is stunning, we absolutely loved our stay! The location is brilliant and couldn't be better for a short stay in Whitstable - 1 minute walk from the high street and a couple of minutes to the beach! We loved the garden, it really is a little sun trap and we loved having the outdoor furniture to relax on. The cottage is very well equipped with lovely decor and very comfy beds with nice bedding. The kitchen has everything you need and it was a nice touch having some of the basics there too (teabags, oil, salt etc). It was easy to check in and out using the key safe and it was handy to have multiple sets of keys. The TV and Wifi worked well too. It can be a little noisy at night given there is a pub close by but this could happen anywhere so wouldn't put me off. Would definitely recommend staying here!

Miss K,

Mr L,

Gorgeous high spec cottage in a great location.
