Description

This property is found in a wonderful seafront location, directly on the beach in the village of Seasalter in East Kent. At high tide, the waves lap gently just a few metres from the property’s spacious decked seating area, and there are miles of beach walks to be enjoyed from the property’s front door, including the 35-minute walk to the popular, fashionable town of Whitstable, just 2 miles away. The village itself is home to one of the area’s most highly-regarded gastropubs, as well as a handy village shop. For a wider range of shops, as well as the historic cathedral, large theatre, and cinema, why not spend the day in Canterbury, which is just 6 miles from the property.

Guests will instantly fall in love with this stunning loft-style beach house, which has been finished to an exceptional standard throughout. The first thing that guests will notice is the sense of space and light which has been carefully created here, thanks to the open-plan arrangement, double-height ceiling, skylights, and glass wall which opens onto the spacious seafront veranda. The owners have paid careful attention to detail to create a stylish space, with comfortable furnishings and on-trend decoration. There is a large corner sofa for guests to relax on and enjoy the view to the beach, or instead perhaps fire up the wood burner and curl up in front of a film on the Smart TV. The dining area occupies one corner of the open-plan space, from where a door leads through to the conservatory kitchen which offers a Range-style oven, hob, microwave, fridge with ice compartment, washing machine, and dishwasher. The double bed is located in the opposite corner of the room to the dining area, whilst a sofa bed can be found upstairs on the loft-style mezzanine floor. This is a click-clack double sofa bed that will be made up as a bed if booked for 3 people, or for 2 people who prefer separate beds (bedding available). The bathroom has a fashionable, sleek feel to it and offers a bath, separate shower, and WC.

The spacious decked terrace to the front of the property is situated right on the beach, and is a spectacular place from which to enjoy the fresh air and the relaxing sound of waves from the table and chairs provided. There is also a pretty marine-style garden to the side of the property, with direct access to the beach via a gate and set of steps, and off-road driveway parking for two cars.

Please note that there is over a meter drop at the end of the decking area overlooking the beach. This may make this property unsuitable for children.

Please note that smoking is not permitted at the property (inside and outside)

Reviews

Fabulous location, right on the beach. Wonderful views of Sheppey and sunsets. Made full use of log burner and all kitchen equipment. Very well stocked with all utensils required. Lovely cozy cottage by the sea, thank you.

Ms G,

This beach house has the wow factor in buckets. The location for a start is just amazing, right next to the sea, peaceful and very private. The house is lovely: decorated very colourfully and really homely with comforts and equipment to make it easy to cook and stay in to watch the waves and glorious sunsets. The garden and decking were also really good for our dog to mooch around and enjoy watching the sea too! Our expectations were surpassed and we felt very lucky to have found this idyllic little place.

Mrs H,

Fantastic Property, situated on the beach within walking distance of Whitstable, the sea at full tide was only 6ft from the edge of the decking, close your eyes and you could be in the Maldives. Inspired internal decor based on the work of Frida Kahlo. I will look to book again and will recommend it to all our friends. Great local walks and a great place for your dog to explore, definitely a 10/10.

Mr E,

A very quirky, comfy & well equipped cottage on the coast, great range of kitchen equipment.

Mrs W,

What a beautiful place, peaceful, my dogs had a lovely time as did myself and my husband.Everything is there for you a home from home!! Loved it so much going back again twice more next year and we can’t wait.

Mrs E,

What a peaceful retreat. Clean, warm with everything you could want. Love the fact dogs were so welcome and we all loved our walks along the sea front. Thank you

Mrs H,

Had a wonderful week at Beach 221. The beach house was very comfortable and had everything you needed for a week away. The beach was quiet and made a great place to relax just listening or watching the ever changing tides. Some lovely seaside towns to visit like Whitstable or Herne Bay. Canterbury also makes a lovely day out. A great beach house experience.

Ms E,

Beach 221 is a beautiful place to stay. It is well maintained and comfortable, the hosts have provided everything to make a stay relaxing and restful. The location is fabulous, we enjoyed the walks up the beach to visit Whitstable. The local pub The Oyster Pearl is only a stone’s throw away and serves delicious food. 10/10, We would return.

Ms K,

If you want a house with a view and a beach to step down to, this is the place for you. Also, very friendly locals in the local cafe and Oyster Pearl, and the place to heal the soul.

Dr T,

Very comfortable fantastic views the sunset was amazing would recommend

Mr W,

Amazing sunrises and sunsets from here and instant access to the beach. The beach was a bit sharp on my dog's paws but much quieter than Whitstable and the tide comes in pretty close so possible to go swimming. Place is comfy and well-equipped and very colourful with large decking area though a climb up and down off the wall to access the beach.

Mrs B,

A little piece of heavan ! A beautiful unique property for anyone needing to relax and de stress. Very quiet location but lots to look at with the changing tides. Sunsts are amazing. Comfortable bed and well equipped kitchen. Couldn't have wanted for more !

Ms D,

Fantastic sea views from the garden, sunsets were spectacular. Love the quirky, colourful decor, equipped with everything necessary for a comfortable holiday. Didn’t use my car, lovely walk into Whitstable along the sea shore, frequent bus service into Canterbury, or you could just sit in the garden and enjoy the view

Mrs H,

The view is amazing, we could never tire of watching the changing tides. Both sunsets (some of the best we’ve seen) and sunrises are visible from the decking. The property is very colourful, although not so much as on the photos, presumably due to new ownership. It is also extremely well equipped and very spacious.

Mr L,

Beach 221 far exceeded our expectations. The location is outstanding, right on the beach; the deck and the wildflower garden are perfect for sitting out. Inside the place was spotlessly clean and all the accessories: the cutlery, crockery and glassware were lovely and the kitchen knives were sharp. It’s the kind of place that feels like the owners have made it for themselves to really be comfortable in, not just to make money from paying guests. I can’t recommend it highly enough!

Mr M,

The veranda and view out to sea is the main reason to book this accommodation. It literally feeds the soul to sit on the edge of the veranda, listening to the waves (when tide is in it comes right up to the veranda edge). I sat here for hours. It is close to whitstable, but far enough away to get a break from the crowds and hustle and bustle. Some lovely places to eat nearby. Forgot me not cafe lovely breakfast which you can walk along sea front to. Has all you need inside and makes you smile.

Past Customer,
