Reviews

Dr W,

Wonderful host, thought of everything we'd need. The best equipped cottage we've stayed in! Beautiful location, so peaceful and relaxing. Pur doggies loved it so much. Cottage was very well laid out and lovely decor. Will definitely come again. Scarlet (host) was so friendly and accommodating. Cannot recommend it enough! Wonderful xx

Mrs C,

The cottage is well equipped and beautifully presented, cosy and very clean. The host is friendly and helpful and provided a lovely welcome basket. We really appreciated the peace and quiet of it's location. However, be aware that in order to reach the main road you have to use a two mile long single track very muddy lane with passing places.

Mrs W,

The accommodation is joined onto the hosts property but it is thoughtfully designed for your privacy and you have your own entrances and an enclosed patio and small lawn. The facilities are second to none. 'Everything' has been thought of. No detail has been overlooked! The decor has been so tastefully created reflecting a modern bungalow and its setting. The view is so special from the patio doors or on waking up through the main bedroom window. This splendid isolation has such a timeless quality about it. That all said, and to give a balanced review, just be aware (as it is surprisingly not mentioned in any reviews) that the price you pay for all this peace and scenery is a 3 mile trek from the 'Black Robin' pub along narrow lanes with its own challenges and also in certain weather conditions.Twice a day!

Mr J,

We had a wonderfully relaxing time at Valley View cottage. Our hostess was incredibly welcoming and helpful. She even got her neighbour to help us out when our car wouldn’t start on the last day! The cottage is very well equipped and the view from the decking area is truly stunning. If you need somewhere away from everywhere in a tranquil setting with lots of opportunities for walks then this is the place. Thanks again for a very pleasant few days.

Mr U,

We were greeted with an open arm by the owner Scarlet. Any new client should ring the owner before they arrive. Excellent view of the Valley from your property. The cottages has plenty of furniture for you to relax in. Enjoy your stay.

Mr P,

The cottage is an idyllic position, quiet and peaceful and close to glorious woodland walks, and yet within easy reach of the great buildings, gardens, museums and nature reserves of Kent. It is cosy, comfortable and very well designed and equipped for holiday makers. The cottage owner is a delightful host who does not intrude but is always available and a cheerful, well-informed fount of advice on local shops, pubs, places to eat and places to visit. A real bonus were the up-to-date ordnance survey maps of the surrounding areas of Kent provided in the cottage. A really outstanding holiday rental.

Dr C,

What a fabulous place to stay! We took our dog Rufus to Valley View and it could not be more dog friendly - super lovely host, the location was fantastic and the property exactly what we were looking for. We will definitely be back!

Mrs C,

Valley View is a wonderful property for a quiet stay and we would highly recommend it. The property is beautifully presented and is warm and cosy. The views are wonderful and the hostess is extremely friendly and helpful. It is very dog friendly with walks from the doorstep into the woods. We took 2 dogs and my youngest literally had the time of his life! He could not wait to get out in the morning. The surrounding area is beautiful and fully deserves its designation as an AONB. We were pleasantly surprised at the number of dog friendly coffee shops we found. Pubs also dog friendly in the main and the food was by and large of a very good standard.

Mrs H,

Very well equipped. Wanted for nothing. Warm, very clean. Extremely friendly and helpful owner who advised on where to walk locally. Beautiful surrounding and so quiet.
