Description

Rose Cottage offers a touch of luxury in a gorgeous little cottage for two.  The property is situated on a farm just outside the pretty village of Boughton Monchelsea, which lies on a ragstone ridge sitting between the North Downs and the Weald of Kent.  The cottage offers spacious and comfortable accommodation which has been furnished to a very high standard with a cosy wood burning stove to chase away those chilly evenings. Explore the countryside and enjoy a relaxing walk from your doorstep or why not follow in the footsteps of the pilgrims along the North Downs Way?  The property is well situated for visiting Leeds Castle or a bit further afield Canterbury Cathedral. Maidstone has a rich and colourful history and is a lively bustling town full of cafes, bars and restaurants.  Making the most of your holiday in and around this area is easy with golf courses and parks, which are great for picnics and during the summer months play host to a variety of entertainments including outdoor theatre, music festivals and concerts. It's also a great place for messing about in boats, whether you choose a traditional rowing boat on the lake at Mote Park or perhaps rent a boat to explore the River Medway while taking in a few of the quaint villages along the way.

Reviews

Thanks Lorraine for such a lovely holiday, Rose Cottage is beautiful, comfortable and peaceful.

Mr L,

Lovely cottage on a farm. Off the beaten track, but peaceful and very pleasant. Clean, tidy and comfortable. Host Lorraine was friendly and helpful.

Mrs W,

This is a fantastic property and way better than we expected. The location is great, in the heart of Kent countryside yet close to all amenities, it also has lovely views. The cottage is finished to a really high standard and has everything you could possibly need during your stay. The owner Lorraine is warm and welcoming and the place is truly dog friendly. We will definitely stay there again

Mrs A,

What a well equipped cosy property Rose Cottage is. We arrived and is was really clean, warm and the owners had left a beautiful cake and bottle of wine.It was a great base for getting around Kent.

Mrs B,

The owner is a fine host. Cosy cottage. Very nice walks with our dog.

Mr B,

Absolutely fabulous week. Lovely cottage for me, my husband and our little dog. Out in the countryside but not far from shops, pubs, beaches and city. Perfect

Mrs R,

Nice, and very clean cottage. Host is a very lovely lady who made us very welcome 10/10

Mr K,

Excellent hosts cake and wine appreciated, this is on a working farm as stated so bear in mind there is some noise in the morning we are early risers so didn't worry us too much, cock inn v good pub and lovely walks from the doorstep.

Mr H,

A lovely cottage, well laid out with everything you needed. Spacious, and plenty of storage space for your belongings. Comfy bed and lounge seating. Owners thoughtfully provided wine, milk, orange juice and cake. Good information pack at cottage about local walks and amenities. Quiet location and private garden area. Would stay again without any hesitation.

Mrs E,

Rose Cottage was exactly as described. Well decorated throughout, the kitchen had all that was needed and the garden was a lovely little sun trap. The owners were great, and the farm and surrounding countryside was blissfully quiet and peaceful, and yet it is only 5 mins in the car to a local pub or shop. Very relaxing, and highly recommended for a couple

Mr G,

Immaculate cottage, lovely walks and views, owners across the way from the cottage really helpful but unobtrusive.

Mrs M,

This cottage was absolutely beautiful. It was in a great location with plenty of walks from the doorstep and very quiet. The cottage was well equipped and spotlessly clean with private outdoor space which was secure for the dogs. Everything was perfect and we will most definitely return.

Mrs G,

Rose Cottage was a perfect accommodation for me. All on one level with all the mod cons you need. A lovely contained garden for my two small dogs and for me to sit out and read my book. There was some lovely walking trails too. I loved my stay there and was in no hurry to return home.

Mrs H,

Great place to stay, so clean, well equipped and lovely location

Mrs W,

An excellent property, and very well equipped, spotlessly clean, ideal spot for touring, also a great pub called the cock inn about a mile away, lovely food and a nice walk, lovely touch with the welcome pack, lovely friendly helpful owners

Mrs M,

A lovely, well equipped, quiet cottage. Owner very friendly and helpful. Would recommend.

Mr G,

We enjoyed our stay at Rose cottage it is situated in beautiful countryside with plenty of lovely walks for our dogs Bella and Isla. The owner goes the extra mile to make you feel welcome and is always on hand with any queries you may have. The welcome pack of tea, sugar, milk and cake etc, was a bonus and much appreciated after a long drive. I would have no hesitation in booking Rose Cottage again and would highly recommend it for a relaxing stay in Kent.

Mr E,

The accessibility and layout is very good, with the hosts being lovely.

Mr G,

Lorraine and Richard were very welcoming and helpful, Rose Cottage is a fantastic place to stay for a couple with or without their dogs, for a short break or a longer stay, the cottage is a credit to L & R, everything has been thought of and no corners have been cut, all mod cons, and was ultra clean and tidy, private off road parking right outside of Rose Cottage, private secluded small garden with a 6’ fence, so safe for dogs, and countryside walks right from the doorstep where you can let your dogs off the lead. Plenty of Kent history to visit and not a million miles from all the seaside attractions. In a nutshell, and in my opinion, Rose Cottage has it all, I would stay at Rose Cottage again in a heart beat. Steve.

Mr M,

The property is set in a country area, on a working farm, with large machinery. It didn't bother us. Rose Cottage was very comfortable for 2 people and our dog, cosy woodburner, comfortable furniture, and safe garden

Mrs D,

The owner was most welcoming with a lovely cake and bottle of wine to greet us on arrival. Facilities were excellent and the owner was extremely helpful. We thoroughly recommend this property and the host.
