Reviews

Lovely cottage, with plenty of space for 2 adults and 2 under 2 years, lots to do close by and within half an hour drive even in the winter! We loved the log burner and there was plenty of wood available for our stay. So well equipped for children with highchair, cot, stair gates, plastic plates and cups Thankyou!

Mrs M,

Very pleased. We had a very nice week

Mr A,

The cottage was well equipped for couple or family staying.

Mrs B,

This was our base for cycling in the area and was a great choice. The cottage was comfortable and very well equipped, very quiet, and a good size for the four of us.

Mr C,

We have had the best week staying at Penhill cottage, it had everything we needed, and the fine touches made the stay even more comfortable. The owners are very friendly and helpful. The location is quiet and beautiful, bats fly around the garden at dusk. The local sheep are always happy to great you. You really are in the countryside, but only a short drive to some lovely villages, and good places to eat. We found so much to do around the area, that we haven’t covered everything and will be rebooking to return next year.

Mrs F,

We really enjoyed our stay at Penhill cottage!

Miss D,

We had a wonderful week in this lovely house. Very complete and located in a beautiful location. The house is outside, but you can reach Tenterden in no time. The Kent and East Sussex Railway is highly recommended, with alternating walks on the public footpath and train rides. The walk is only suitable for people with good mobility. Furthermore, very friendly people in this area.

Mrs J,

We had a lovely stay at Penhill Cottage with three adults and a 2-year old. The place was clean and big enough. A beautiful garden and the area around the house was absolutely lovely. The cottage is good located for lovely trips to gardens, castles and cities. We were suprised by the equipment available, it was all very good! We definitely recommend this!

Mr K,

Fab cottage so quiet & peaceful. Will definately go back again. Good area near to Tenterden with plenty of shops, cafes & restaurants.

Mr B,

We had a lovely weekend at the cottage, everything about it was just right and I would happily stay there again.

Mrs M,

This cottage was extremely child friendly with lots of little touches which really made the stay lovely. Kitchen is well equipped and garden games were great fun. Garden isn’t fully enclosed which wasn’t an issue for us as our oldest is 2 and we were always in the garden with her. I would definitely recommend both this cottage and the beautiful area.

Mrs T,

We enjoyed our stay at Penhill Cottage. It was so peaceful, just the wildlife to listen to. The cottage was comfortable with everything we needed. Would return in the future.

Mrs E,

Lovely clean cottage with friendly owners. Located in a great place to make the most of our National Trust membership. Was a great half term for children with visits to Kiplings house, Sisinghurst and Battle to see the field and Abbey. The nearby vineyard has lovely cider and wine. We even visited Dover. Just check opening hours for things in winter. Perfect cottage for a week - we didn’t even turn on the TV ! The fire kept us warm and the dining table and board games provided were great.
