Description

This gorgeous barn conversion, on a working vineyard, has been beautifully thought out down to the last detail.  It has been built in green oak using sustainable energy systems with a ground source heat pump, solar panels and underfloor heating.  This delightful property sleeps four people in beautifully furnished accommodation, with a cosy wood burning stove, timbered vaulted ceilings and stunning views out over Romney Marsh and the Owner's vineyards. Located just 5 miles from the picturesque cobbled streets of medieval Rye and only 9 miles from the beaches at Camber Sands where you can surfboard or try sand yachting - you will be spoilt for choice.  The Saxon Shore Way is on the doorstep and if you want to stroll to the local pub, just head out along the footpath to the 14th century Ferry Inn where you will find welcoming log fires and famous Rye Bay scallops on the seasonal menu.  The barn has a fully enclosed garden with a hot tub for the young at heart to escape to.  This property can be booked in conjunction with The Old Cowshed and Churchlands Barn to provide luxury accommodation with extensive entertaining and relaxation space for up to 16 people.

Reviews

Beautiful cottage with stunning views in a lovely setting. Cute pub up the road. Quite challenging to walk to as minimal paths so do be careful. Plenty of amenities. We had a baby so used the washing machine and dishwasher lots! What a god send. Thanks for having us!

Mrs A,

New holiday location for us, the property was excellent for our needs, well located to explore the area. Very peaceful and lovely views.

Mr C,

A lovely cottage in a really beautiful, peaceful setting. Ideally positioned to visit the coast and gardens of Kent.

Mrs T,

Lovely barn conversion with everything provided. Hot tub and log burner made for a great holiday. Peaceful location and good views.

Mrs S,

Beautiful property, well-thought out design, especially with the enclosed garden for the dog and being able to walk her on the lead around the vineyard. Excellent views over the vineyard to Camber all the way to Folkestone Down. Cottage was tastefully decorated and understated, nothing twee. We were combining our trip with visiting old friends in Kent and the Glebe was a great base. Lovely pub nearby, The Ferry Inn, with delicious food and friendly staff. Lots to do in the area. I love rural Kent and this property had it all. Will certainly be planning to return.

Mrs K,

Lovely cottage, beautiful countryside with excellent views, great hot tub and pet friendly garden. Had a great week, not far from the coast, good local pub with great food and dog friendly, all in all was superb.

Mrs D,

Very comfortable cottage in a peaceful location but within reach of plenty of things to do and places to visit. Nice area to walk a dog and a secure area around the cottage for your furry friend.
