Take a ride on the wonderful Kent and East Sussex Railway towards Bodiam and its ancient castle.  This area is know locally as the Jewel in the Weald and has many beautiful parks and gardens to explore.  Other highlights are Bewl Water and Bedgebury Forest which are great for walkers and cyclists.  There are golf courses and beaches within an easy drive, making this your perfect holiday get-away.   Shop:  1.5 miles   Pub: 1.5 miles    Coast: 15 miles

Reviews

We had a lovely stay at the cottage which was well maintained and cosy. It is positioned well to access the PRoW network and close to the the town. Although the garden is enclosed at the rear by 6ft fences and tall hedges, you can access the front of the property where the hedges are lowerbut prevent direct access to the PRoW. The cottage is on a working farm and it was nice to see the cows and horses around us.

Mrs T,

Wagon Lodge is perfect in every way. It is better equipped than my house. It is so cosy and comfortable especially with the log fire blazing away. Bruce and Helen are wonderful hosts and nothing is too much trouble for them if you need help in any way. The cottage is in a beautiful setting with a lovely garden.

Mrs F,

Beautifully kept barn with all facilities necessary to have a pleasant stay. In fact, we felt so at home we would have stayed indefinitely . Great walks straight from the house albeit quite muddy, though to be expected end of October! Wonderfully quiet and beautiful views. Bruce gave us some great tips and ensured we had everything we needed. A great time....

Mrs Franc A,

Just the loveliest place and so well maintained. Tucked away on the farm with just the cows and the birds, glorious. The hosts couldn't be more helpful as friendly and nothing too much trouble. Our fifth visit and we will always come back.

Mrs J,

Comfortable, clean cottage with lots to do in the surrounding area. The host, Bruce was very friendly and accommodating.

A comfortable well equipped lodge in a peaceful location. The garden was lovely to relax in and very safe for our dog Amber. We would have no hesitation in recommending Waggon Lodge and returning in the future.

Great place, lovely surroundings and very friendly and helpful owners. Lots of nice things to see and do within a short range. We like the farm animals and our own dog had a lot of fun in the garden. The welcome pack was much appreciated.

Previous Customer,

Great peaceful location. We had taken our dog with us so the enclosed garden was an absolute bonus. The cottage was beautifully equipped and very comfortable. Particularly enjoyed the walks from the cottage into Tenterden through the woods. Thoroughly recommend.

Mrs S,

Great location and although we couldn’t enjoy the stunning walks from the property because of the rain we have had recently we appreciated how lovely the area is. Very comfortable accommodation and great host as well.

Mrs D,

We loved the cottage it was warm and welcoming. The medieval bed was really comfortable and we both slept really well. We enjoyed hearing the cows, and feeding the birds. We hope to return in warmer drier weather.

Mrs R,

A fabulous place to get away from it all for a couple of days. Very warm, comfortable and peaceful. We had a wonderful time exploring local area with our dog. Hosts very responsive to messages and always available.

Mr T,

Such a lovely place to stay. Great location. Garden fully enclosed which was so useful for our Cavapoo’s first holiday! We had a lovely walk from the property to a nearby reservoir and there are other walks you can do. Such a lovely farm site and we appreciated the fresh eggs and even bought more from the owners who were very responsive to messages prior and during our trip. Would highly recommend.
