Reviews

We really enjoyed our stay at Readers Retreat. The host is most friendly and made us feel at home at once. The house is well equiped, the scenery beautiful and the countryside was what we had hoped for. We recommend Readers Retreat!

Mrs De B,

Lovely cottage everything that you could need. Peaceful location not far from all the amenities

Mrs F,

Readers retreat was very comfortable and well equipped. The host was welcoming and helpful. It is an excellent location near many national trust properties and gardens, the Kent and East Sussex steam train, vineyards, pubs and the coast. We had a very enjoyable relaxing week. We would be happy to return as there was more to see and the cottage was so lovely.

Dr A,

A lovely cottage in a quiet location, well equipped and comfortable, especially the bed! Lovely host, with some lovely goodies supplied, would stay again if in the area. Not far from numerous National Trust properties, and a brewery 15 minutes walk from the cottage.

Mrs C,

We really enjoyed our stay at Readers Retreat. The host, Amanda, provided us with lots of really valuable information about places to eat and drink and things to do. The cottage is very clean, spacious, and comfortable, and in peaceful surroundings.

Ms W,

Lovely clean, comfortable and well presented accommodation in beautiful surroundings. We received a warm welcome from the owner who kept us well informed of local amenities and places to visit both prior and during our stay. We would have no hesitation in recommending Readers Retreat.

Mr B,

Such a lovely peaceful location the only noise was the sound of bird’s singing. The cottage was well equipped with everything we needed plus extra goodies from owner which were much appreciated. The cottage was well located for visiting many interesting places, our favourites being Pashley Manor and Batemans. Tenterden has a lovely mix of places to eat and shop, Amy’s Pantry and Montalbano Italian Restaurant and Icecream Parlour are worth a visit. Definitely would visit again.

Mr W,

Excellent holiday, cottage was superb and the owner was very friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend it.
