Description

Situated in a beautiful countryside location in South West Cumbria on the edge of the Lake District National Park, Dog Crag Cabin is a truly unique barn conversion that offers guests a fun holiday experience at the point where upmarket glamping meets stylish & rustic self-catering.

Opening the arched door to the cabin you step into a well-designed and modern open plan, self-contained timber cabin interior that is tastefully decorated, beautifully lit and is complete with a four-poster bed and ensuite facilities with shower.

A huge part of the charm of Dog Crag Cabin is the mix of functional simplicity on offer whilst still retaining key comforts and style. Dog Crag Cabin is a truly special retreat and is perfect for couples or single guests. The Cabin welcomes up to two pets, has secure storage for bicycles and makes a perfect base for active holidays.

The Cumbrian Coastal Way is nearby (and can be accessed via a footpath from the farm), Silecroft Beach is just 2.5 miles away and the often-forgotten Wainright of Black Coombe, with its views over the Irish Sea and the Isle of Man is also very close by.

Dog Crag Cabin also makes a great base for road cycling and mountain biking. Staying in this corner of Cumbria and The Lakes opens up many of the quieter roads and trails that are usually the preserve of local riders.

If you wish to bring friends or family members along, there are also two other high-quality self-catering cottages on site; The Chapel (GL095) & Fell View (GL096). Please get in touch if you are interested in booking any of these properties together.

NB: Please be advised this is glamping accommodation so appropriate clothing should be considered in cooler months.

Stunning location, very rural. Views from the cabin were beautiful. Basic kitchen but pretty much everything you need. Very clean & comfortable. Short drive to the village & the lakes.
