Description

Tabithas is a traditional Lakeland stone cottage sleeping 4, located in the beautiful Langdale Valley in the village of Chapel Stile. The cottage has stunning views of Lingmoor fell and the Langdale Pikes and is superbly located with numerous walks from your door, the local village shop is only 400m away and a selection of pubs within walking distance.

On entering the cottage, you are met by the cosy living area, with original slate flooring and you will immediately notice the welcoming wood-burning stove, enticing you to snuggle up on the comfortable sofas. The room gives an instant sense of homeliness and lets you relax and enjoy your surroundings. The bathroom is located downstairs with a full size bath and overhead shower. The kitchen/dining room is spacious, bright and fully equipped with everything you can possibly need for your stay.

Reviews

This is our 4th stay at Tabitha’s Cottage and we’ll definitely be again soon. Waking up in the morning with the stunning view of Lingmoor is priceless and energy for the soul! The living room is cozy and comfortable. If you’re looking for walks with a well earned pint at the end it really is the best starting point!! Thank you for having us, see you soon, Mrs P x

Previous Customer,

Stunning location.

Mrs T,

Lovely cottage in a fantastic location. Perfect for walks and good local amenities with only a small drive to larger towns. Comfortable seating in lounge area and comfortable beds too. Ideal for 2 (plus dog). Plenty of hot water and very cosy. Open fire looked very inviting although heaters were more than adequate. Bonus off road parking spot for 1 car. Already looking for next year. Excellent weeks holiday.

Mrs H,

We had a lovely few days at Tabitha's cottage. A sweet and comfortable cottage with all mod cons in a gorgeous location, with the village shop and pub only 10 minutes walk away. If your car is long and low beware the steep entrance and exit to the car parking area. It can be done but be aware. It was fabulous to be able to see the Langdale Pikes from the front bedroom window and to watch the local sheep mowing the lawn outside!

Mrs K,

Comfort beds however a slight ticking/hissing noise in the main bedroom from the immersion heater.

Previous Customer,

A very compact house that on first appearance seems tiny but actually the kitchen was roomy and the sitting room perfectly comfortable for 4. Beds also very comfy. Kitchen kit pretty basic - bring your own salt and pepper! And no local information is provided. Not really friendly for dogs as not allowed upstairs or on furniture. Lovely location, with nice path into Elterwater and bus service to various towns. Overall property is okay but nothing to write home about.

Ms H,

Had a relaxing 4 nights in the cottage. Fantastic area, 10 minute walk to local pub and restaurant, and great walks from the doorstep. Lovely views

Miss C,

Comfortable cottage in an excellent location for exploring the Lake District.

Mrs S,

An excellent and well laid-out cottage in what must be one of the most beautiful areas of the Lakes. It was interesting waking up to sheep on the front lawn most days! We had to be careful letting our dog out for his constitution, the only downside of not having a separated garden. Most conveniences provided, we cooked a few nights with no problems at all. Lovely soft water. Good, comfortable beds, I slept for England! Comfortable settees too, for when it was too wet to go out (which happens here a lot apparently!). Residential neighbours on one side who were friendly and welcoming (most of the row are rentals). Only a short 10 mins drive to Ambleside for plenty to do if walking isn't your thing (though why come to the Lakes then?). Shame the weather wasn't better, but can't be helped. One of the few cottages I've visited that I would DEFINATELY come back to. The local shop was useful.

Dr M,

We like the cottage,!

Mr H,

A lovely cottage and a fantastic location in my opinion the best place ( valley) in the lakes and also 5mins walk from the pub nice after a long walk . We will 100% be back .thank you
