Description

Amaley is a beautiful property, sleeping eight people, centrally located in the picturesque Lake District village of Hawkshead. The house has undergone a full restoration and now offers you a luxurious stay in one of the most beautiful and popular Lake District villages. Attention to detail has been made in every aspect and we guarantee you won't want to leave.

You enter the ground floor into a large hallway, with space for all your day-to-day shoes and coats. This leads to an easily accessible bedroom with two single beds, which can be made into a super king on request, with its own ensuite shower room. The garage features a dartboard and pool table, a perfect spot for the children on those occasional rainy days. Attached to the garage is a dedicated boot room, with space for walking boots, outdoor clothing, and equipment.

Upstairs, there is the magnificent open living area, with a modern fully equipped kitchen, large dining table, and comfortable sofas centred around a relaxing log burner and Smart TV. With aspect views across to the village, Latterbarrow and the fells beyond Ambleside, you may find it hard to head out, and instead relax and enjoy this glorious space. Also on this floor are three bedrooms, a double, king and a twin (or super king), each is tastefully decorated and each has its own Smart TV.

To the side of the house is a single space carport with an electric vehicle charger, there are a further two car spaces just opposite the house. The back garden has a steep-sloped lawn with a small patio at the top offering a relaxing spot for you morning brew and spectacular views across the fells.

Overall, Amaley is the perfect spot for your Lake District stay, the village has numerous shops, pubs, and restaurants only a short walk away, and the local area is awash with opportunities for outdoor activities and days out. The village itself is steeped in history with a 15th-century church and a school once attended by William Wordsworth.

Reviews

We enjoyed our stay in Hawkshead. We stayed the year before and we have booked for next year

Mrs M,

My family and l had a lovely holiday in an attractive well equipped spacious home with panoramic views from the lounge area of the open plan kitchen, dining and comfortable corner sofa . An immaculate modern house in a beautiful location close to both Windermere and Coniston Lakes. We were extremely lucky with the weather. But with a TV in each bedroom, and in the lounge area, a games room and books and cards and a few board games provided we would have kept entertained .

Mrs G,

Well located. Quiet location with lovely views. Ample parking. Clean. Comfortable. Guests have no control over the heating (the control box is locked) which was switched off during our stay during an unseasonably cold week. Garden is not suitable for anyone with children. Overpriced compared to similar properties in the area.

Mr M,

we had a great stay - the house was clean and well-equipped. comfortable beds and plenty of hot water. lovely walks direct from the house.

Mrs H,

Great location, fantastic views, excellent cottage and spotlessly clean. We’d definitely stay again.

Mr D,

A lovely well equipped house, beautiful view from the living room. Very quiet and peaceful and only a short walk to the facilities of Hawkshead.

Mr B,

Super comfortable cottage that was very well equipped for the 6 of us. We particularly enjoyed the view, the sheep and the pool and darts. It was easy to wander into Hawkshead and out for some good walks.
