Autumn in the Lake District

Autumn marks the transition of Summer to Winter, and the fells turn from green to gold.

Here in the Lake District it’s a time for wrapping up well and enjoying the crisp morning air whilst surrounded by all the colourful splendour Autumn has to offer, kicking your boots off after a frosty day on the fells and warming up with a real log fire enjoying fine food with friends and family.

It’s a little quieter in our towns and villages during Autumn and there is still plenty of things to see and do. Many village craft fairs and local seasonal events take place for Halloween, Bonfire night and leading up to Christmas.
