Here at Original Cottages we countdown to Christmas every year! We love the festive season and enjoy getting our holiday cottages ready to welcome you. Putting up Christmas Trees and adding extra festive goodies for you to enjoy brings us huge amounts of pleasure.

If you fancy exploring the Fells and working up an appetite for that all important Christmas dinner, or prefer a seat in front of a Log Fire playing games with your family and friends we have the holiday cottage that’s just right for you!

Some of us love getting away from it all, surrounded by friends and family in a picture postcard setting and, where better to do that than the peaceful and majestic fells of the Lake District National Park. We have a whole host of properties available to book for the Christmas break which will make this time of year extra special.

Treat your mince pie stuffed tummy to a bit of exercise and stretch your legs around the banks of Grasmere Lake or spend your boxing day scaling Scafell Pike or circumnavigating Lake Windermere and treat your friends and family to a novelty Herdy soft toy for Christmas...we’re sure Uncle Alan will love it!
