Aldborough is an attractive village nestled into north Norfolk, close to the coast and many other tourist attractions in the locality. The surrounding lanes are great for cycling and walking, the Weavers Way passes through the village and the coast at Cromer, with its iconic Pier and sandy Blue Flag beach, is less than a 20-minute drive away. There is golf, the Amazona Zoo and a surf school here too, if you want to learn a new skill. The National Trust houses and parks at Felbrigg and Blickling are a fun day out, and the lovely Georgian town of Holt with its numerous independent shops, great food hall, cafe culture, antique shops and art galleries is a spot not to miss. It is also the gateway to the north Norfolk coastline much of which is a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and there are some pretty, coastal villages to discover. Cley-next-the-Sea with its famous windmill, Blakeney with its marshes, quayside and seal trips and the charm of Wells-next-the-Sea are just a few you should visit during your stay in this idyllic part of Norfolk.

Reviews

Beautiful stay in a fab cottage. Everything you need and would expect.

Mrs C,

Lovely cottage in a quiet village location, updated to a high standard. Locals are very friendly, and the Cricketers is a very nice pub. Post Office stocks all the essentials you need. Situated here, you are just a short drive from loads of great beaches.

Mr L,

We spent a delightful, very comfortable week at Ivy Cottage. It was immaculate both in cleanliness and decor and the welcome pack of milk and wine was much appreciated.. As there was little signal in the village, it was marvellous to have wifi provided in the cottage. We found the village very friendly and it was a bonus to have a village shop and a pub nearby. Indeed, The Cricketers was very welcoming and the food there was excellent.

Mrs C,

Lovely cottage. Gorgeous outlook and very comfortable.

Mrs G,

Mr R,

Our stay in Ivy Cottage has been so lovely. It is very well equipped and very cosy too. It is in a beautiful setting and overlooking the green is just joyous. The local villagers were very helpful and welcoming. The weather was a bit hit and miss but only added to the lovely week we have had.Visits to local attractions were enjoyable and have also joined the National Trust whilst visiting Felbrigg Hall and church. Thank you so much Gabby and Steve for the loan of such a beautiful cottage. You are so lucky to own this. Thank you! Thank you! thank you!

Sue and B,

We have had a really lovely stay at Ivy Cottage, with everything that you could possibly need. Visited Holkham, seals, Felbrigg. but most importantly spent time with a very special friend who lives in the village. Thank you for everything.

Steven G,

Lovely cottage and location, had everything needed and very comfortable. Easy drive to coast and lovely local pub for drinks and food.

Mr S,

Ivy Cottage is a beautiful property to unwind and relax. The location is fabulous overlooking one of the biggest village greens we’ve ever seen. Tranquil well equipped and a stones through from a cracking pub. Add to that a quiet enclosed garden and the fact that it’s very pet friendly, what’s not to like?

Mr G,

Past Customer,

A wonderful cottage, gorgeous location. An easy drive to all the 'main; locations such as Cromer, Sheringham. Wells-Next-the-Sea. The amenities in the cottage itself were great. everything you need! We had dinner in one nigh and cooked breakfast one morning. Thank you for the wine and the extra bits. Our favourite beach was Overstrand and can recommend 'Wills' coffee shop in Wells. We look forward to another stay in the future and could definitely return if our family grows.

Past Customer,

We had a great stay at Ivy Cottage and would highly recommend it. A great base for a north Norfolk holiday, situated in a nice quiet village with a fantastic welcoming local pub. The cottage was clean and comfortable and had everything we needed. We had a lovely welcome package and message which was very much appreciated. I was concerned about parking at first as I'm protective of my car, but there's plenty of spots and traffic is very low and slow in the village. The only time I struggled to park was during a Cricket match, but just joined the other cars parked on the green until the match finished. Was great to see such a turnount for the match which really shows the nice community spirit in the village.
