Blakeney with its harbour, marshes and stunning scenery is loved by visitors all year round and is set in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Within easy walking distance of the cottage there are several places to eat, a local delicatessen, fish shop and a general store. The quayside is a great place for the family to try their hand at crabbing or a good starting point for a walk along the coastal path to Morston or Cley-next-the-Sea. Enjoy sailing, birdwatching and boat trips to see the seal colony at Blakeney Point. Venture inland to the elegant Georgian town of Holt and spend a day wandering in and out of its antique shops and art galleries, boutiques and book shops. There are fantastic sandy beaches at Wells-next-the-Sea and Holkham with beautiful Holkham Hall and deer park also in the village, both a short drive or bus ride away. Just 6 miles to the East is the village of Weybourne, famous for being home to the Muckleburgh Military Collection and Weybourne station where you can hop on the North Norfolk Railway to Sheringham one way and Holt the other.
